Dogs are people too!
Pet care experience
Hello, I’m Codi! I’ve owned dogs (and lots of other little creatures) ever since I was a kid, a cocker spaniel and two spazzy boxers. My grandpa worked at the state fair when I was young and I would go with him to work just to hang out with the animals. I would still do the same thing to this day if could! Instead my husband and I have started our own zoo at our home. We have our big Dane/mastiff pup Harlowe, our cuddly rescue mystery mutt Honey, and two little talking parrots. I freelance from home (art) and spend my days with birds on my shoulders and two dogs sitting on my lap. Please send your dog over to sit on my lap too, apparently it’s all the rage! With my flexible schedule I am able to make many runs to the park or walks around our quiet neighborhood. When we are at home the dogs are free to come and go through the giant dog door, they love to wrestle or keep watch outside and snooze on the couch. We have this amazingly huge and fully fenced park near our home where we take our dogs to romp around before bed every night. Our Dane mix Harlowe loves dogs but is dominant so we would need to have a meet and greet before planning anything. She is a great leader and very maternal to other dogs, but takes her role as the leader pretty seriously. If your dog is also dominant or territorial we might not be the best fit. I take safety and happiness of all the pups who stay with us with the utmost importance which is why I require a meet and greet before your pup’s stay. If we are a good fit, our dogs will surely wear your dog out playing! We treat animals like humans over here, and they have free reign over the furniture and bed. My husband and I have learned to sleep in the strangest pretzel shapes, and it’s worth it. Side note- I’m currently pregnant so I’ve slowed down a bit these last few months. I spend more time at home and take the dogs out at least once a day to run at the park. I have also been helping my grandpa with Alzheimer’s part time a couple days a week. When I am at his home my husband is usually home with the dogs working in his office. Please let me know if you have any specific instructions for your dog and we can discuss options! Can your pup be left alone and for how long? Do they have any triggers or behavioral issues? Let me know if you have any questions or things I left out on my profile you’d like to know, I’d be happy to chat!
Reviews
UM, incredible. What amazing humans and their fur family. Seriously such a wonderful experience for my puppy Coconut!
Codi and her husband made our nervous dog feel right at home and like he was on puppy vacay. She met me ahead of time to make sure that our dogs were comfortable together and kept me updated on how our pup was doing the whole time we were gone. Thank you! We'll definitely be back!
We feel that Codi & Jason took great care of our boy and treated him like one of their family. Codi kept us updated with photos and messages. Ray had plenty of play time and fun with their dogs. We could tell he was happy when we picked him up.
Codi was a great host to our Ruby. This was the first time I had let her and Codi made me feel comfortable and was in constant communication. Ruby loved playing with her dogs. I would recommend her to all!

I care for each pet as if they are my own. When boarding at our home all dogs are welcome on the furniture and in our bed. Wherever we take our dogs our rover pups come with too! Feeding time is typically at the same time for all dogs in our home: once in the morning and once in the evening. I love to snuggle and spend time with each dog all I can, and I’ve got a lot of time with them.

Health concerns, behavioral triggers, special instructions of any kind! Has your dog ever been in a fight, if so why? Does your dog like other dogs? What is their energy level like?
A typical day
I frequently take walks around our neighborhood and to the nature reserve just across the street from us. We have two giant grassy gated parks we bring the dogs to regularly so they have off leash leash time. In this hot weather our go to has been to visit the gated park in the evenings when it gets cooler and spend about an hour there. One of the parks we go to is a dog park so the dogs get to romp around and play with many other friendly dogs. I used to hike more but being pregnant I haven’t been able to handle as much of that as usual! During the day I’ll go in the back yard with the dogs a couple times to play with them or watch them play. They love having human company outside. Otherwise they are free to come out using the dog door to play any time!

Availability
I just had a baby so I’ve blocked my availability off for a couple months. I hope I can help with your pets once I get back into the swing of things! Otherwise my husband works from home two days of the week but on the off chance we are both out of the house let me know if your pup has any needs. One of us is typically always home though. I am typically at home hanging out with the dogs and working on art or home projects. If the weather permits I take them out to the park typically once in the morning/ afternoon and once at night.
