Pet care experience
The first time I worked professionally with animals I was 14 and volunteering at the Brooklyn Cat Cafe over the summer. I absolutely loved it and went on to dogsit/catsit for friends and family. Since then I’ve worked with a wide variety of animals such as cats/dogs with special needs, cats/dogs who are on medication, and elderly cats/dogs. I’m always willing to meet your pet where they’re at, and prioritize having an open line of communication to ensure you and your fur baby have the best possible experience.
Reviews
Clover did a great job looking after our two dogs. She asked us how often we wanted her to update us on how things were going and gave us detailed information as well as photos and videos. She was tidy and respectful of the neighbors and most importantly the dogs clearly had a great time with her. We would definitely recommend Clover to anyone looking for a responsible dog sitter.
Clover was absolutely wonderful with our senior dog Griffin. We were worried about leaving him after a recent medical diagnosis, but we felt so reassured that he was with such a responsible, caring sitter. Clover even sent us many updates to let us know he was doing fine! Highly recommend :)
Clover did overnights at our apartment to cat sit for Thomas. When I originally contacted her, she was very responsive and came prepared to our meet and greet with thoughtful questions to ask about caring for Thomas. During the stay, she did an amazing job, giving thorough updates multiple times a day along with photos and videos. She took great care of Thomas, keeping him company and making sure he got his playtime in. Not only did she take great care of Thomas, but also took great care of our space. We will definitely be hiring her again!
We know that Clover will be responsive, care for the cats, and send us detailed reports, and would recommend her to anyone!

Safety, trust & environment
The main way I ensure a safe environment for the pet is respecting their boundaries When it comes to animals, body language is everything. It’s the only way we can gage our furry friends needs. For example, if a dog is following you around, wagging their tail, and making eye contact they’re indicating they trust you. However if they’re not making eye contact, not accepting treats, or creating distance they’re indicating to you they’re still warming up to you. Similarly if a cat is slow blinking/kneading/bunting, that indicates to me that they trust me to pet them. But of course consent can be revoked at any point, so the second I notice any tail tapping or airplane ears I know it’s time to give them their space. Speaking of their space, for cats I always clean out their litter box twice a day and take it to the trash downstairs immediately to avoid a smell. I cuddle with them as I work and occasionally brush their hair/vacuum if they’re shedding. I will also clip their nails but only if they allow me to. For dogs I take them out 4-6 times a day (but depends on the dog of course) and play with them. I will also brush their hair to avoid shedding and vacuum fur when needed. I never let them off leash unless it’s in a backyard but will always make sure they get their exercise in! Additionally if requested I’m happy to wear a mask during visits depending on your comfortability.
