Love is a four-legged word 🐶

Pet care experience

My husband & I have 5+ years of experience taking care of dogs of all sizes, ages, & medical needs. We also have experience with reactive dogs & are more than happy to provide some leash training as necessary or by request :) We love dogs (& probably already love yours too!). We have a friendly Cocker Spaniel who has experience living with other dogs & is always eager to have a playmate for the day or a few nights! We're conveniently located by two dog parks, a 5-minute walk to a 24 hour vet, a walking trail, and love taking doggies on a long walk to Capitol Hill & the Mall. We're also a 7-minute drive away from the National Arboretum which provides the perfect open spaces to play catch in (as long as a long leash or rope is provided!) Walks can include any (and all) of these activities. For the sake of our dog & yours, we are more than willing to adhere with any special requests geared towards preventing infection of that weird dog cough going around! We're looking forward to working with you on providing the best possible care & the best walks :)

Susana and Clinton are absolutely awesome!!! We had to find an emergency dog sitter after our fell through and they were so accommodating to schedule a meet and greet and ultimately watch our dog Ace for a week. We received updates every day of their walks and we could tell Ace had a blast while with them both. Would highly recommend them and will definitely use them in the future!

Clinton and Susana were a lifesaver!!!! My previous rover canceled on me at the very last minute and I had a flight for that night but Clinton and Susana answered my request to watch my baby immediately and saved me so much stress and time. They were incredibly kind and kept me up to date on all of Lincoln’s antics and were always responsive. I would trust them to watch Lincoln any time. Also their dog Rocky is the cutest and sweetest dog.

Our pup was well taken care of by Clinton & Susana. They went above and beyond to make sure we were updated the whole weekend. We definitely recommend them to take care of your pup!

Clinton and Susana have been walking my dog weekly for a couple months now. They show up reliably and send updates as needed. Highly recommended!

Safety, trust & environment

Given we are wary of who we trust our dog with, we do everything within our power to make sure you feel comfortable leaving your dog with us--no matter the period of time. To meet this goal, we are happy to provide regular updates (with photos & videos) of your doggie, workout a plan that outlines any special requests or needs, and communicate regularly with you. We both work flexible schedules, and one of us is at home at all times usually. If, for any reason, neither of us are in the home, we do have indoor security cameras that allow us to check-in with Rocky & your pet in real-time. We do not do off-leash walking & are open to meeting your dog in a neutral environment beforehand to make sure it's the right fit!

Information Clinton & Susana P. would like to know about your pet

With safety as a top priority, the information below is critical for us to know & ensure we can provide the best care for your doggie: 1. Temperament/Gets along with dogs - We really just need to know if he can get along with Rocky. 2. Level of Reactivity - This lets us know what walk settings are best (crowded or not), if they can approach other dogs, & any specific triggers to stay away from 3. Dietary Restrictions & Allergies - We have plenty of different treats we like to provide (as long as you're comfortable with this) & want to make sure no accidents happen! 4. Medical Needs/Schedule 5. Resource Guarding - Can they share toys? Do they need to be fed at a distance? This information lets us know how to make sure your doggie feels safe. Lastly, their favorite treat so we can try and make sure we are stocked!

A typical day

A good early walk can help set the tone for the rest of your dog's day. To make sure doggies are stimulated mentally + physically, we offer a range of activities based on your dog's preference. Depending on the weather, we try to squeeze in 2 walks, have mental stimulation treat puzzle games (of varying difficulties), and are lucky to have a reasonably-sized apartment to play mini-games of indoor catch. Walks are usually 40-35 minute long that can include training upon your request (or as needed), and LOTS of sniff breaks.
