Pet care experience
My husband Gordon and I are retired seniors who have had and loved animals for many years. We currently do not have a pet of our own, having lost our beloved dog 2 years ago, but we enjoy the company of friends' dogs who entrust us with their care. Animals have come to stay on overnights for up to two weeks and drop offs for a day here and there. This suits us nicely because we have a lot of love, care and attention to give. Because we are retired, we can give your pet lots of exercise and TLC. We are physically fit, walk daily, and feel the joy animals have to offer. We are responsible, compassionate and respectful of the unique nature and needs of each animal. Pets have a lot to teach us and we are always learning from them.

We needed daycare for our medium-sized beagle-mix while we were camping at Rathtrevor, and booked Clelia and Gordon. They were amazing through the whole process: we highly recommend them for their easy communication, the love they showed Scout, and the great care they provided. Communication was easy: we made a late & last-minute request for daytime care, and they responded quickly and professionally. They sent photos throughout Scout's stay that illustrated all the fun she was having. And they were flexible with drop-off and pick-up times. Care/stay: Clelia and Gordon took great care of Scout! They have a beautiful backyard and go on regular walks; they also let Scout lounge on their furniture and watch out the window (while getting her belly rubbed). Scout came back to us tired and content at the end of the day. The second day we took her to Clelia & Gordon's, Scout was excited to be back and to see them (always a good sign!). The next time we need a dogsitter in the area, we will rebook with Clelia and Gordon. We highly recommend them!
We were so impressed with the care provided by Clelia and Gordon during Titan's recent stay. Have to admit, we were a bit nervous about leaving Titan with people we didn't know, but that changed when we met Clelia and Gordon for the first time. They are very friendly, and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable leaving Titan in their capable hands. We can tell Clelia and Gordon truly love dogs and that is very important to us. We were also very impressed with how fast they responded to us. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! Titan is looking forward to his next stay!
We took our little beast to spend a day with Clelia and Gordon to check them out and get him used to them for future overnights and longer stays. Everything went great. No concerns at all. They will be our go-to sitters from now on. They genuinely love having a dog around.
Recently we hired Clelia "For the Love of Dog" to care for our little girl "Zoe". Zoe's needs were met with all the care, cuddles, and walks we and she could ask for. My husband and I are confident she felt safe and secure--the same way we will feel the next time Zoe visits Clelia "For the Love of Dog". A highly recommended safe home.
