My love for dogs has been deep rooted since I was a kid. My parents never agreed to getting us a dog, until I convinced them that I would be the one taking care of it. Thus, came Rufus, my little miniature pincher. I knew that if I did not follow through with my promise, Rufus would be taken away. So at 11yrs old, I started taking responsibility of my own dog. As time has passed, I have since rescued another chihuahua from the street, and nurtured her back to health. I’ve also been a “Dog Auntie” to my older sisters loving Pittbull, whom I’ve cared for her Dog when she travels. I’ve also taken some time to volunteer for Plano Animal Shelter where I learned many skills tailored toward canine behavior. Such as being able to walk on a leash, specific canine bathing techniques, and overall creating Canine to Human connection so that they feel safe. Overall, Dog’s have been my very own safe space. I live with mild anxiety and my Dog’s have provided such incredible comfort, and for that reason, Dog’s have a genuine special place in my heart.
