I currently work as a substitute teacher after many years volunteering and then working at a large open admission animal shelter in Pittsburgh. For nearly seven years I served as the Foster Program Manager, arranging for temporary housing for thousands of dogs, cats and the occasional pig. It wasn't an easy job, but it was one I loved. Now living in a condo in Middletown with my 3 cats, I augment my income and get my canine companionship by making it possible for pet owners to travel knowing everything is great at home. Of course I'll love your pets, but I also know how to read dog, recognize health and behavioral cues and understand the legal ramifications if they are out in public, and will make sure that they are kept safe. Providing care for your dog -or dogs - will be my daily dose of joy. Throw in some cats and I'm on cloud nine! As a substitute teacher and former school bus drive I've been finger printed and background checked so you needn't worry about having a stranger in your home.
