I'm the dog/cat whisperer...hi ☺️
Pet care experience
I've taken care of all kinds of dogs, cats, and even fish and lizards as well. I grew up with a golden retriever, I've taken care of several cats all of which love my company. My neighbors tend to almost always book me for their pet needs unless I'm just not available.
Reviews
I have known Clayton since he was a little boy, and have found him since then to be a tender hearted and trustworthy boy and man. I think he should be a good choice as a pet sitter. I saw him with his beloved Golden Retriever, and he seems to have a feeling for animals (and people.)
When I was his neighbor, Clay befriended my dog Cadbury, and after a few enthusiastic greetings and much “hugging”, Clay and Cadbury became fast friends. Clay was a wonderful caring “dog sitter” and dog walker and I always felt confident leaving Cadbury in Clay’s loving hands when I was elsewhere. Clay was responsible and trust-worthy. (I am only writing this in the past tense because five months ago Cadbury and I left the neighborhood I’d lived in for 56 years!)
Clayton Weingartner is an animal lover. I have known him since childhood. He cared for our Golden Retriever, Nellie, and later his own Golden, Chuckie, with great care and sensitivity!
Clay has loved and cared for animals (of all types) for decades! He is wonderful with any size, age, type or temperment. Adoring of cats as well as dogs (unusual for dog lovers), they respond to his innate warmth, kindness and trust . While he has had official "work" at PAWS, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and dog/cat sitting over the years, (which can speak to his reliability), those experiences do not begin to reveal his natural abilities or the genuine affection that Clay has for animals.

Safety, trust & environment
When I'm pet sitting, safety is of the utmost importance to me. No matter of it's going for a walk, being inside or out in your yard, I know very well how crucial it is to have timely responses to unforseen circumstances. Making sure your pet is safe, fed, hydrated and comfortable is imperative and I treat it as such.
Information Clayton W. would like to know about your pet
Maybe Any specific behaviors I need to know of, how they interact with other dogs and people, allergies if they have any, medications they might need to take, that kind of stuff.
A typical day
If they have toys I'd love to go to a park and throw it around for them. Maybe get them a pup cup from Starbucks if it's authorized by the owner of course.

I currently work 8am-12pm. When the school year starts back ( I'm a special education classroom assistant) it'll be 8:30am to 4:20pm. After that I'm usually free and ready to go. I'm hoping to treat rover and pet sitting similar to a part time job.
