Pet care experience
I have had furry little family members all my life. From parakeets, mice, hamsters, cats, and dogs-- I love them all. I am dedicated to providing pets with a safe and loving environment, and am passionate about researching the best care and nutritional needs for every animal I've come across. A pet is for life. Their emotional, mental, and physical well-being is of utmost importance to me. Not too long ago I lost the little loves of my life; two shih tzu siblings named Teddybear and Sweetie. Teddy passed away first at 16 1/2 years old, and Sweetie the next year at 17 1/2 years old. Their passing left a huge hole in my heart. While I'm not yet ready for another pup, I am experiencing empty nest syndrome and would be thrilled to open my home and shower your pet with all the love and care I have to give. I encourage meet and greets so that pet parents can feel at ease about the person and the environment they are leaving their precious little ones with. I have experience with senior pets, and have taken care of pet birds, mice, hamsters, rats, dogs, cats, rabbits, and bearded dragons. If you have the kind of pet I may not have taken care of before, I would be happy to learn about their care and follow your instructions to the T. I can do drop-ins and overnights, but prefer to host pets at my home so that they are always supervised and provided with lots of TLC (I work from home). Pet parents will receive updates and pictures of their pets while they're away. I offer: boarding / overnights, home drop-ins, walks, and pet daycare. I am comfortable giving animals special care if needed, and have experience administering ointments, eye drops, ear drops, medication, and subcutaneous fluids.

Claudia was a wonderful dog sitter! Our dog Oakley had a great stay with her and we were just so lucky to find her especially at the last minute when we found out we couldn’t have pets at our rental. Oakley often sleeps next to us and Claudia was kind enough to snuggle up with her the whole night. She had her outside for fresh air and toys on hand to play with. We are so grateful our pup was in excellent hands with Claudia!
Claudia was fantastic! Knowing how timid my dog is, she took her time with her and she gave my Rayna ALOT of love.
Claudia is wonderful! She took great care of our very anxious dog, provided lots of walks and playtime for him, and she sent many updates and photos throughout his stay to let us know he was having a good time. Will definitely book with her again in the future!
Our puppy loved spending time with Claudia! She is kind, loving and welcomed our pet into her home. We received updates and photos throughout her stay, and there was no question that she was in good hands. We would definitely contact Claudia again!

I allow pets on my bed and furniture, and always take their safety and comfort into consideration. If boarding with me, I recommend that pet parents make sure their dogs have a flea and tick preventative as there are deer in my area. I always check pets thoroughly when coming back from walks. While I ask for advanced notice for house sitting stays, I may be able to accommodate same-day or next day bookings-- so please feel free to reach out! I also limit dog boarding stays to two dogs of any size, but I might have flexibility for up to three if all three are small dogs.

Does your pet have any health issues or boundary needs I should be aware of? I also like to have a secondary contact (if possible) and the name and phone number for the pet's veterinary clinic in the case of an emergency.
A typical day
A dog's mental and physical stimulation is an important part of their daily care. When pups are with me, they get walked frequently around the neighborhood and nearby parks and trails. Should the pet parent permit, boarding stays might go on day trip adventures with me. There is always lots of play, and they will be showered with hugs and kisses throughout the day.

Availability
I work from home, in a neighborhood with many families and quiet streets. There are plenty of sidewalks and trails for walking. I am available everyday of the week for pet care.
