I am a recent law school graduate and have decided to take some time off to smell the roses and enjoy doggie play time with my dog and some of her new friends. My experience with dogs stems from childhood with my first family dog, a Scottish Terrier, who I fell in love with instantly. I have cared for and trained animals of all kinds including rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, and of course dogs. I have had the most experience caring and training dogs in the last 15 years and have over 20 years of overall pet care experience. My home is a comfortably-sized one-bedroom apartment that my husband and I share with the queen of our hearts, Cookie (Monster). We also have a privately fenced in yard with six-foot walls, so our yard is secure. Since we live in a small apartment complex, I must know in advance if your dog is a barker. Barking at the door when hearing approaching footsteps or hearing other dogs bark is completely understandable. However, nervous or aggressive barking may not be a good fit at our home. I would love to host small dogs so that my Cookie could have some play time with new friends, but that isn't required. Cookie can lounge, relax, and stay out of other's hair just the same. I typically take Cookie out for two walks during the day. The first walk is generally shorter (30-45 minutes) and the second walk is longer at about 1.5-2 hours. I am happy to accommodate any other exercise requests for your pup.
