A home from home 🐕🦮🐱❤️

Pet care experience

My name is Clarissa. I've always enjoyed being around animals. I used to be a volunteer dog walker at the manchester dogs home and also volunteered at a cats home which included spending time with them and feeding them etc. I have 3 children that are now at school and would love to spend the time I have looking after your pets. I'm happy to administer medication if needed. I'm also happy to walk reactive/aggressive dogs when muzzled. All dogs need regular exercise no matter what their temperament. Unfortunately I can't look after dogs in my home if they show any sign of aggression.

Brilliant experience with Clarissa. She checked in every day to feed my cat and sent plenty of lovely pictures to let me know how he was doing. He took to her straight away. She has a kind gentle approach and was lovely and affectionate with him

Absolutely amazing service provide and couldn’t of asked for anymore Clarissa looked after my dog after being let down two days before I was due to go on holiday, I received plenty of messages and pictures whilst away which was lovely and put my mind at ease, I wouldn’t hesitate to book Zina in again as she was well cared for as if she were their own family dog ? ?

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but in this instance I do feel i need to as a warning to others. I don't want anyone to be left in the same situation that I was. I had arranged for Clarissa to look after my dog for a weekend whilst I was abroad on holiday. I had left my dog with my sister for collection. My sister was also going away that weekend. Clarissa picked my dog up as arranged, but returned my dog to my sisters house within an hour and said she was no longer able to take my booking (I'd booked in with Clarissa over a week before I went away). She said she was looking after a very small dog that same weekend and it wasn't going to work out. I hadn't been made aware that Clarissa was looking after a very small dog that same weekend. My dogs age and size are on her profile, she's a large dog. I would have expected Clarissa to take this into consideration when accepting bookings. My dog has a dog walker who takes her out with multiple dogs and has never experienced any issues with her. I've also had a dog sitter in the past (who was unfortunately unavailable that weekend) who has never mentioned any behavioural problems etc. My dog went to puppy training. She does get excitable in a new environment with new people, I think that's more due to her age (she's only just turned 1) than any behavioural issues, and she soon calms down. I didn't mention any behavioural issues to Clarissa because I'm not aware that my dog has any. I didn't think that I needed to mention that she might be excited in a new environment and wanting to explore, I think that's normal for a dog of her age and to be expected. Clariassa left me to try and find another sitter whilst I was abroad. I spent a whole day of my holiday calling friends and family to try and find someone to look after her. My sister was also delayed leaving for her trip. I found the whole experience very stressful and upsetting and felt Clarissa was extremely unprofessional. She didn't even give my dog a chance to settle before returning her. It seems she puts her price lower than others and takes on multiple dogs at the same time, along with having her own dogs. I imagine that is hard work but Clarissa shouldn't accept the bookings if she isn't able to look after the dogs. Having had a bad experience with Clarissa I did find the Rover team to be very helpful and supportive and they provided me with a full refund.

Cannot thank Clarissa enough for looking after my 11 month old puppy, she kept me up to date with pictures and videos throughout her 4 day stay and my pup clearly had a cracking time that she probably has holiday blues herself. Clarissa treated my pup like one of her family and for someone who hasn’t left their pup with anyone before put my mind at ease and made the whole process so comfortable and easy. 10/10, 5 stars. Im sure my pup is excited for her next visit to Clarissa’s.
