Dog-Loving Pet Sitter!
Pet care experience
Hi there! I grew up with dogs my entire life and raised my own adorable French Bulldog for 10 wonderful years. I’ve been a pet sitter for my friends and family for the past 2 years and have experience with various breeds large and small and with medical needs. I also have experience with watching multiple pets at once as well as overnight and long stretches of 1 to 2 weeks.

We made plans with Clarissa to house/dogsit while we were away for 6 days. Prior to this Clarissa gladly came over to meet our dog twice, Barley, learn everything to take care of her, and learn everything about our house. We immediately felt comfortable with Clarissa and her caretaker personality. 4 days before our planned vacation, Barley needed emergency surgery (non-life threatening) and was expected to be on medication and a safety shirt to prevent chewing her stitches. We let Clarissa know and she was still okay with sitting Barley and taking care of her and administration of meds. She came over early before our departure to learn all the new things required. Again, we were very comfortable with Clarissa. We took our vacation and Clarissa took wonderful care of our Barley and our house. She sent us several great photos while we were away as we were worried about Barley's recovery. We will definitely look to see if Clarissa is available next time we are leaving town to take care of things. She is thoughtful, caring, responsible, and flexible. Barley just loved her. Clarissa helps us out with our 3 dogs frequently while we are out of town. Each one of my dogs have a different personality and level of energy. She is attentive to each of their needs. I trust her in my home when we are away. She is clean, responsible and very loving toward my dogs.

A typical day
Learning the pet's routine is the most important thing. I am the guest in the pet and owner's home. They already have an established way of eating, playing, walking, bathing, etc., so it is up to me to learn that to keep both the pet and the owner feeling comfortable and safe. Anything the pet needs I am willing to do!

I finished graduate school and I am currently studying for my Occupational Therapy Board Exam. I have an open and flexible schedule and I am available for pet sitting on weekdays, weekends and holidays!
