As a long-time Rover patron and occasional sitter myself, I regret that this is my first time leaving a review of less than five stars. My rating is based on: - Returning to a house that smelled of urine/feces - (Unusually) dirty, smelly dogs - These conditions likely the result of the dogs being left in the house alone for over 12 hours on at least one occasion (evidenced by our security camera) which I had to message Clarissa about - One dog reportedly rolled in something smelly which Clarissa told me about on the second of five days away - dog still smelled like dead animal when we arrived home as did the furniture and carpets indicating that my dog was not appropriately cleaned after the incident - Additionally, had to repeatedly ask for mail to be brought in; a basic house sitting component and a safety issue While Clarissa was sweet and responsive during our meet and greet and when I did raise concerns, I can’t imagine accepting money from a client to care for their pets and not treating them or the house I’m “house sitting” with the same respect as my own during that job. Sadly, we will not be using Clarissa’s services again or recommending her to others.

Clarissa took great care of our dog while we were out of town for the night. She gave him walks and play time in her fenced backyard, and she texted pictures and updates. Highly recommend!
