I have always loved animals and had several dogs growing up. Friends and family know me to be an animal lover, kind, punctual, and a responsible person. In college I had brief experience dog sitting for friends for a few hours a day and found it enjoyable. It felt nice to have company being away from home. I would take them on walks before or after eating, drop in potty breaks, refill bowls, then some play time and rub downs. I also had a short 3 week experience volunteering at my local animal shelter and at a volunteers home who cared for many fosters, while I was in high school. I helped her clean the kennels and refilled bowls. I enjoyed observing both workers and animals, because I felt like I viewed the animals and their behaviors, in a more understanding way.
