Pet care experience
A lifelong animal lover, I've had all sorts of pets while growing up including a rescue border collie. Since 2005, I have worked for animal welfare & conservation NGOs, & have experience in many aspects of animal care, for both domestic pets & rescued wildlife.

Clare looked after my elderly staffie, who has mobility and some incontinence problems, for a long weekend. Clare kept me regularly updated with texts and photos. Clare is kind and caring and 100% trust her with my oldie. I have already booked her again! Highly recommended.

Clare has years of professional expertise working in the field of animal welfare and she has a lifetime of experience as a dog owner and dog lover. I re-homed a so-called ‘failed’ Guide Dog for the Blind in 2020. His severe anxiety issues were compounded by lockdown isolation. Only a very few people have been able to deal well with our dog and help him gain trust and security. I have entrusted him to Clare’s care on a number of occasions. I live in a flat without a garden which prevents me from offering care at my own home but I live by the seafront at Hove & enjoy long walks with dogs on the seafront, parks & South Downs.

I make sure I'm aware of any issues or anxieties your dog may have around other dogs or people, traffic, etc, to ensure their care and walks are safe and as stress free as possible. Of course, I also make sure I am aware of any medication that is needed, dietary requirements or injuries, or anything else I should pay particular attention to with your pet to ensure optimum care and owner's piece of mind.
A typical day
I'll make sure we play any games your dog particularly enjoys, such as chasing the ball or tugging on a favourite toy, and I look forward to taking them on varied and stimulating walks in some of the great outdoor locations around Hove and Brighton.

Availability
I recently went freelance which gives me great flexibility for dog walking and sitting. I have walked & looked after many friends' dogs over the years, including some with behavioural issues, & I am excited to now have the time to get to know, play with & walk lots more dogs & other pets.
