A walk a day keeps the vet away!
Pet care experience
I grew up with a dog as my best friend and loved taking her on walks and teaching her new tricks. When my parents adopted a rescue dog, I helped her get used to people and took her and the whole gaggle of three small Bichons to the dog park and on long walks at the state parks. I’ve spent thousands of hours working with horses and have always loved a friendly barn cat. When my roommate and I found three orphaned kittens at work, we just couldn’t resist and have been raising them since they were five weeks old. As much fun it’s been playing with them and taking them on walks, I’m a dog person at heart. Because of the kittens and my small apartment, I’ve got no dog of my own and am seriously missing man’s best friend!
Reviews
Clare has had dogs her entire life, and has regularly been responsible for walking, feeding and caring for them. She often took sole care of our three bichon frises, who adore her. She trained the oldest dog (Cloe) to do a wide range of tricks, including jumping through a hula hoop. When Cloe suffered an apparent minor stroke, Clare was the first to notice the dog's changed behavior. She ensured Cloe got to the vet to get treatment, which led to her full recovery. Clare is an extremely conscientious care-giver for animals - she worked her way up to be an assistant barn manager at her stable, where she watched over the health and welfare of dozens of horses (as well as a number of barn cats and dogs!)
