Pet care experience
I've looked after animals most of my life. As a child I looked after dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits and goldfish, and as an adult, I have cared for guinea pigs, chickens and temperate fish. I've done short spells of voluntary work with animals - the RSPCA, Animal Care and Monkey Sanctuary in Cornwall - and have completed various courses such as NARPS Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Course which included first aid. I have also recently registered as a volunteer for The Cinnamon Trust charity which will involve dog walking for elderly people. I feel this ongoing practical and learning experience helps me to look after animals the best way I possibly can although I am always looking to improve.
Reviews
Clare took care of my 1 yeard old cat for the second time this year, I'm very grateful, thank you! She's very reliable and professional 🤗 my cat was very happy when I arrived, I really recommend Clare!
Absolutely lovely lady have booked again already . I know my fur baby’s are in perfect hands whilst I’m away . Love the daily updates . Thank you auntie Claire from Nikki Duffy and Dolly
Clare was very attentive, trustable and she did a great job taking care of my cat Moon! My cat was very happy when I arrived and I would definitely book with Clare next time I need a pet sitter! Thank you very much Clare ?
I met Clare when she came for a meet & greet, and she met the boys (our 2 cats). She is so lovely and polite and I knew instantly that she would be a great fit to do home visits for us whilst we were away, and the boys seemed really taken by her too. She was very attentive and asked lots of questions to make sure she got everything just perfect. I would 100% recommend Clare for pet sitting.

For pop-in visits, I will ask you if there is a particular schedule I need to follow and other things such as what food and quantity/routine/cleaning out your pet requires. I will also make sure there is access to a full water bowl for them. For dog walking, I will keep your dog on a lead unless and until you're happy to have them off lead. I will discuss places to walk, times and duration.

Information Clare K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or health issues I may need to know about. I would also need to know if they have any behaviour traits that may affect our walks.
A typical day
On our walks, I will allow plenty of time for your dog to sniff out all the new smells. But I will discuss with you what your dog's other preferences are. Are there particular places they like to go to? Would it be a walk followed by playtime with a toy? Or a walk and then nap time?

Availability
I work part-time in a job with some flexibility. This means that I am available for pet care pop-in visits and dog walks early mornings (before 9.30am), lunchtimes, evenings, and any time Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. I can also look after your dog for short stays at my house. As I live in a small house with a small garden, and have guinea pigs and hens, I am limiting caring for dogs overnight to one/two small or one medium (calm and well-behaved) dog/s from one household at a time. Although of course the hens and guinea pigs will be kept separately from canine guests this is just an added precaution. Other than that, I will guarantee I will spoil your dog as much as I can.
