Pet care experience
Dogs, cats, and critters of all creeds have always been part of my life and I often find myself missing my family pets while here in Bellingham for college. I have experience with dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, farm animals, and horses. In high school I worked weekends managing a large horse stable, and more recently I worked at a local dog boarding and daycare facility. Although I have no official training certifications, I am rather adept at dog training and have ample experience and patience with reactive dogs. I love taking walks or going to the beach with pups and leaving plenty of time for cuddles and cookies.

Clara was absolutely wonderful with Kodai! They were happy to do a meet and greet before the booking and was attentive to all his details. Sent me photos of their adventures and updates throughout his stay. We brought home a very tired but happy boy! I'm sure Kodai will be excited for the next time we book with Clara, highly recommend!
Clara was fabulous! This was my first time leaving my dog with a pet sitter and she sent lots of pictures and updates. I felt reassured and confident that my dog had a great time with her. I would 100% recommend her!

A typical day
I really enjoy walking around Lake Padden with the opportunity to stop and play in the big open field, I also love to go hiking or on a big beach walk! I love teaching pups new tricks with a positive reinforcement approach. I am always looking for new ways to enrich daily puppy life and have many different kinds of food puzzles and mentally stimulating games we can play. I have quite a soft spot for the shy or nervous dogs, and am perfectly happy to take my time getting to know them on their terms.

I have a pretty flexible schedule and if we discuss should be able to fit your needs relatively easily, that being said I do work as. server some nights so some times are unavailable for me.
