Will trail run high energy dogs

Pet care experience

I grew up with with very high energy dogs (husky’s and shepherds), and have two Australian shepherds of my own who need to be ran at least a couple of trail miles every day. I have experience volunteering at shelters and working with anxious/scared and sometimes aggressive dogs. I’m current a neuroscience PhD student at WFSOM, so I can adjust my lab schedule instead of the regular 9-5.

Clara did a great job walking my 50 lb, heartworm positive, foster dog! My dog tends to pull on the leash and has anxiety, and Clara did great with her. She was also very communicative beforehand with what my dog needed. Book her to look after your animals!

She went above and beyond!

Clara is the second biggest animal lover I've ever met in my life. She is second only to her mother. Her family in total has seven dogs, multiple snakes, lizards, turtles, and plenty more! Clara herself has two dogs that she loves more than anything in the world. The dedication she has to making their lives as fun and enjoyable as possible is baffling to an outside eye. Along with being a full time PHD student, she always finds time to take the dogs on a run, adventure, or both. The dogs (and all animals for that matter) are priority number one in Clara's life. She comes from a family of huge animal lovers and she may just be the biggest one out of the bunch! Her heart is incredible especially when it comes to animals!

Clara is amazing with our dogs! They love her, trust her, and are thrilled each time she runs them. She has the stamina to tire them out as she runs with them, and is comfortable taking them on fun and interesting trails. She just has a way with dogs, and we trust her implicitly.

I am used to running several miles at a time with a bungee leash belt. I’ve driven my dogs up to 50 miles away to run them on longer trails and keep them from getting bored, in addition to training and mental stimulation games. I have two crates in my home, so they’re available although I do not crate my dogs.

Information Clara L. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if any special needs, food, behaviors, etc or if your dog would prefer a more low energy experience. Also please let me know if your dog doesn’t get along with other dogs so I can make arrangements.

A typical day

LOTS of running!! Also have plenty of frisbees, places with clean running water to play if (if owner allows), play hose catch with the water (my aussies go CRAZY for jumping at the water), and tons of mental stimulation toys around the house! Hobby park is one of our favorite spots, but we like to explore new ones as much as possible.
