Pet care experience
My name is Clara and I am a designer and artist based in Queens. From as young as a kid I've raised all kinds of animals, from rabbits, hamsters, dogs, to turtles! I'm excited to use Rover to provide my experience taking care of beloved pets for others. I have years of daily experience walking and handling my own pets, washing, feeding, playing, and walking them around for daily exercise. I have never had a problem with handling pets, so you can definitely trust me to do my best. I am also energetic and responsible and I can provide your dog with the proper attention and love if they want it. I am a good sitter because I will communicate with you throughout my time with your pet and make sure that you are aware of everything that is happening. During my time with your dog, you will get frequent check-ins and reports on how everything is going as well as updates with photos. Clara was absolutely amazing! She was flexible and able to pick Big up last minute. She took him for a very long walk, longer than the allotted time and even let him socialize with other pups. Big got out so much energy and was so happy with her. Clara was such a pleasure to work with and so attentive and caring to Mr. Big. She really took care of him as her own. We will definitely be using her again!!
Clara took care of my Chubby for me when I went on vacation. I could tell that she would be great for Chubby because she radiates a very warm personality, making it easy for not only me to get along with her, but also Chubby took a liking to her right away! Everything was perfect and I would most definitely get in contact with her again!

I am a lifetime dog lover and was a pet owner for many years. My first pets were five bunnies my sister brought home and we had them for over four years! After that I had a series of dogs (terriers and mutts) throughout my childhood and into my high school years. I loved taking them on walks throughout the neighborhood and many of my neighbors got to know me because of all the time I spent outside with my dogs. I also enjoy cat sitting and have done that for friends and family over the years. I'm great with giving cats their space and allowing them to come to me when they feel comfortable. I also make sure cats get fed and enough play and stimulation during our time together.

No preference on breeds, but do let me know your dog's temperament and what kind of behavior they have when the owner leaves them. This way I can carefully attend to make any separation anxiety put at ease immediately. I want to make sure your dog feels at home, so if there are any specific routines, habits, or reactions they have, any of that information is appreciated.
A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs out to the park and if there's a dog park nearby we'll definitely make a visit. I make sure to watch over your dog and keep unfriendly dogs away but encourage them to socialize with other dogs.

Availability
I currently work part-time and mostly remote so I have plenty of time to play with your pup or cat, but I can also give them space if need be. Walks are also important to me so I'll definitely be taking your pet on as many walks as possible!
