Clara has loved animals her whole life and has always wanted a pet. While her parents did not want a pet in the home when she was younger, this did not stop Clara from finding ways to care for other's animals and give them the love and attention they needed while their owners were traveling. She has been watching other people's animals since she was very young and continues to be asked to take care of friends, family and neighbor's animals while they are away - with multiple repeat requests. Clara's dreams finally came true a couple years ago when their family took in an older dog for a few months while their owners were building a house and could not bring her to the apartment they had rented in the interim. A few months turned into a years long relationship of visits, overnight stays and long term pet sitting when her owners would travel after their house was built. This lead to Clara's family getting their own puppy last year! Part of the reason for the decision was due to Clara's persistence and the understanding that she would help take care of the puppy. Clara jumped right in with training, daily walks, enrichment activities and socialization. I have loved watching Clara excel in her pet ownership. I personally have 3 Goldendoodles. Clara is always so thoughtful and attentive when she is around them. I have traveled to her home on multiple occasions with one of my dogs and she is the first to take her on walks, teach her new tricks and love on her as much as I do. I only wish she lived closer to me so she could watch my puppies when I'm away. Clara is responsible and kind. She will make sure to treat your pet as her own!
