Basically, I want to know what your dog likes and dislikes and what makes he/she most comfortable and happy. I have no breed preferences, though I have much more experience with medium to large dogs than with small dogs. I will generally ask the following questions: - Does your dog enjoy playing with other dogs, just like to say hello, or prefer to avoid them (cross the street, etc.)? - Is your dog good with people (wants to meet everyone, will say hello, or should generally stay away from people)? - Are there any kinds of dogs, people, actions, or places that frighten your dog? - Does your dog come when called? - Do you let your dog off-leash? - [if yes] Have you ever had an incident with your dog while off- leash (didn't come back, got aggressive with another dog or a person, etc.)? - Have you ever had an incident with your dog while on-leash? - What commands does your dog know? - What does your dog love to do? - In terms of affection, what does your dog like (belly rubs, chin scratches, butt scratches, lots of petting, no petting on the head, no touching the paws...)?

Depending on where you live (and your dog's preferences), we will either go to the beach or a park. If your dog is good off-leash, we'll likely go to Fort Funston, Ocean Beach, or Stern Grove. If you prefer to have your dog on-leash, we'll go for a long walk on the beach or hike on a trail in one of the nearby open spaces!
