Growing up, my siblings and I had a fish, a rabbit, and a gecko, but never a dog. Back in 2017 I realized how much I was missing out on when I had my first experience living with my aunt and uncle’s dog, Happy. We bonded immediately and shared lots of cuddles, walks, and dog park dates all summer long. I’ve been dog sitting regularly since 2020 and it has brought me so much joy. I’m comfortable with all ages, sizes, and breeds. I’ve watched several dogs who don’t play well with other dogs which has given me good practice in communicating with dog owners, and keeping a close leash. I’d love to chat about your pet and find out if we’d be a good fit!

We will absolutely ask Claire to sit for us again. After our trip, our dogs were calm and in good spirits. They clearly enjoyed being with Claire. Our house was clean and Claire took good care of everything. During our trip, we received lots of updates and photos. She was always quick to respond to any questions and is so easy to talk with. We couldn’t be happier with all Claire did and we would recommend her services to anyone.

Before sitting a pet, I would like to know how they typically interact with adults, children, and other dogs. This will help me keep them happy and safe. I also need to know about any allergies, dietary restrictions, triggers, and other things that will help me provide the best care to your pet!
A typical day
I love spending time at parks, so depending on where the location is we might go for walks in the neighborhood or at a park. We’ll play frisbee, fetch, and hang out at fenced-in dog parks (if your pup gets along well with other animals.)

Availability
I’m currently working 8:30 am-4:30 pm Monday-Friday in Columbia, near the Mizzou campus. Let me know your dog’s schedule and I’ll do my best to stick to it so your dog has consistency in their routine. Depending on your location, I can swing by on my lunch break to let your pets out if needed.
