Pet care experience
I have had animals all of my 25 years on this earth. I have a senior dog at home with my family (my childhood dog growing up). I currently live in an apartment where I have a 9 month old long hair chihuahua/shitzu mix as well as a cat name Schmidt who I rescued as a stray in October of 2021. I am a big time animal lover! I would foster in a heart beat if I could afford it. I also check the lost and found pet page for the Dayton area daily and have helped to search for lost animals. I have also had experience with observing service animals and their humans as an OT graduate student.

Claire is a wonderful sitter! She took care of Rudy for 10 days and he was one happy dog! We received frequent updates with photos, and communicated right away to let know when she had any concerns about him. Will definitely be asking Claire to take care of Rudy again!

Claire was very thorough in our Meet n Greet, and was very energetic with and kind to my 4 critters. She stayed in touch the entire time I was away and made me feel at ease re leaving all of them!

With the animals that I have at my home, I do not allow my indoor cat to go outside. (I take care of the strays in the apartment complex by feeding them daily so I have experience with indoor and outdoor cats). I take my dog out on a leash to do his business and often take him for walks in the neighborhood. I am willing and able to accommodate any environments and protocols that you have in place for your fur baby.

A typical day
I love to go on walks almost as much as the dogs. Typically I go just around the neighborhood but am open to going to dog parks or trails. Playing fetch and snuggling are some of my favorite ways to the pass the time as well.

Availability
Through the end of August, I am available every day of the week. Beginning in September when I return to grad school at Kettering College I will have weekend availability and some evening weekday availability as well.
