I do not offer boarding however when I do a drop-in visit or overnight stay I bring along extra, clean toys (unless stated otherwise) and a first aid kit to have fun and be prepared for every situation. I check before entering and exiting every client's home to guarantee no escapes happen and never feed a pet anything that is outside of their dietary restrictions. I also always have a meet and greet with my new clients so that I can see the behavior of the pet with their owner and what seems most comfortable to them so that I can then provide equal comfort while caring for them alone and minimize separation anxiety.

Information Claire S. would like to know about your pet

Are they on a strict diet? What scares them? Are they good with other animals? Is there specific gear that they need to wear while on a walk? Is there a specific schedule that they need to be kept on? Are they triggered by any specific clothing or gear? What are the normal commands that you use with them? Will other people be in the house? Who is their vet?

A typical day

A typical day includes play therapy along with having fun! Dogs can be taken to more public places for exercise if specified at the meet and greet. I have even had clients' dogs play in a kiddie pool outside on hot days if the owner allows it. I send daily photos of your pets and at the end of every service, I leave a customized card including details of the visit. If I house sit for you I clean the sheets and throw away the trash and leave the house looking the same or better than when I arrived :)

Pet care experience

Hello, I have a degree in Environmental Science to fulfill my passion for wildlife and the world they live in. I have lived with dogs and small mammals my whole life. I have cared for small dogs with cataracts, diabetes, Addisons disease, and cancer, to walking Rottweilers, Mastiffs to Rhodesian Ridgebacks. I was a previous volunteer at two local animal shelters for dog walking, cat enrichment, and SMAMS. I have a passion for all animals including my guinea pig and aquatic tanks. I am very experienced with dogs who need oral medication and attention. I also love cats and am very comfortable with cats who are easily overstimulated or have behavioral needs. I also have taken care of clients reptiles. And yes I actually do stay in my client's houses when they request house-sitting, I get booked out months ahead sometimes from my family, friends, and long-time clients. So I am very used to it as I have been doing it for years which reflects in my prices. I am very reliable and respond within an hour of your message, let me care for your best friend whether that be for a drop-in visit, overnight stay or energetic walk! :)

It felt great having Claire check in on Darla. Darla took to her immediately. I am so grateful for Claire’s drop in visits, they give me much peace.

Like any parent of a furry friend, I get anxious at the though of not being able to be with my animal family members. As a result, we seldom travel places we cannot take our dog, Noodle. However, when I discovered that Claire was available to sit for us, I was thrilled. We got to introduce Noodle and Claire before our trip, and I could tell that Noodle thought she was pretty special too. During our time away from home, I got daily updates and funny stories about their adventures. And when I returned home, I actually think Noodle kind of missed her for a little while! I feel a sense of relief knowing that Claire will be able to keep an eye on Noodle in the future. She is kind and responsible, and she was also really considerate of our home. Claire is a treasure!

Claire is the best. I never have to worry when I leave my best friend in her care. She takes time to get to know him and his quirks/preferences (and mine!) and really treats him like her own. Boomer knows her name now and gets excited every time he hears it! Can’t recommend her enough. There is no one better in denver.

Claire did a wonderful job taking care of our dogs while we were out of town. She confirmed her arrival on the first day since we had already left and continued to provide updates (and photos!) the entire time we were away. I know my pups got lots of attention and love while we were away.
