Hi! I just graduated from URIl and have lived in southern RI for my entire life. I’ve grown up with cats, dogs, a tortoise, and fish so I am well versed in pets. I have pet-sat for friends and family and have volunteered with cats before.

Claire is very awesome. Has made friends with Cassie and one of my cats already. I couldn't have found a better sitter than her.
Claire was awesome with my dog Scooby. She watched my dog for Thanksgiving break and smothered him with love and endless hours of play time. I received a ton of fun photos showing how they spent their day. Claire also is very open with communication and gave me updates on their time together. I will use Claire again for future bookings.
Claire was amazing! She jumped into action when we thought we would have to cancel our plans and treated our pets like family! We would strongly recommend her for your pups and hope to book with her soon again!!
Unfortunately we were not happy with Claire’s care of our Annie. Annie was left alone much longer than promised when I interviewed Claire and she outlined her schedule for us. My next door neighbor had to step in to help many times over the three days we were gone. Not what we were looking for in a care giver. Very disappointed.

In client homes, I follow the pet’s lead and listen to their needs. I like to know as much as necessary in order to be as comfortable with pets as I can. This could mean knowing where treats are, extra cleaning supplies, water bowls, etc.

I like to know how they’ll react to me when I enter the home and how I should enter the home, as in what behaviors between pet and person work best. Also if there’s anything your pet absolutely hates!
A typical day
With the dogs I watch, I like to take them outside to play fetch or others activities like tug of war (if they like it of course). I love to go on walks through nature- any nature trail, around ponds, or any other place where dogs can explore without the noise of most busy areas.

Availability
I’m relatively busy throughout the week- but scheduling time to be active and social is vital to all of our well beings. Pet care in my daily routine comes as naturally as possible; it’s been a component of my life since I was born. My schedule is varied, but I can consistently dedicate a few hours in the afternoon and weekends to pets and their various adventures. I have scattered full day availability throughout each month that I fill with check ins and walks :)
