Caring compassion for all animals
Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs, cats, fish and all other kinds of animals since I was eight. I have two family dogs that I took care of as puppies, midnight bathroom breaks and all, and a handful of fish. I have dealt with behavioral issues and am more than willing to work with you. I have experience in animal shelters and vet clinics and am able to administer medication whether oral, topical, or injected. I'm also able to care for senior dogs or puppies. If you have any exotics, small animals, or fish I'm also thrilled to take care of them! I have lots of experience taking care of fish (freshwater, brackish, and saltwater) and am not squeamish about reptiles, amphibians, etc.
Reviews
Claire took really good care of Falcon. He was clearly comfortable with her in the photos. She spent the full time socializing and playing with him. I'm really happy with her service
Claire has loved working with animals since she was a little girl. She has taken great care of pets in our home, even gave one of our older dogs insulin shots. She has volunteered numerous hours at the local Humane Society and Vet Clinic. She has been accepted into the Mizzou Pre-Vet Scholars Program and is very knowledgeable about animals. Your fur baby is in great hands while you are gone.

Safety, trust & environment
Getting to know pets and their needs on an individual basis is one of my favorite parts of animal care. Each animal has its own personality and little quirks that I like to take time to figure out! Cleanliness and organization is a must for me when caring for your animals, and I always like to have as much information as you can give me. As long as I'm available, no feeding/medication/outside time schedule is too excessive. Patience and compassion is one of the most important parts of pet care, especially for those that may be a little more difficult or higher-maintenance. I know that I worry about my pets when I'm away, especially now that I'm in school, so I want to provide you as much peace of mind as I can that your fur baby is in safe hands- if that means daily pictures or updates, or even a video call, I am more than happy to do that.
Information Claire S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog or cat has any special needs or medication that I should be aware of. Also if there are any known fears, triggers for aggression, or other behavioral issues. If your animal has a favorite activity or toy, feel free to let me know that as well!
A typical day
I like to walk dogs out in the neighborhood or on nearby trails. I really like to give dogs and cats toys and puzzles that are mentally stimulating to help with any anxiety.

Availability
I'm currently an undergrad at Mizzou (pre-vet biology), so my weekday availability changes each semester. Being a full-time student gives me plenty of flexibility to visit your pet for walks, potty breaks, or just a general check-in. Right now I also have weekend availability.
