I'll care for your dog like my own!
Pet care experience
I have been an animal lover my whole life. My family always had labrador retrievers when I was growing up, but no dog has replaced my lab/golden retriever Cubby as my best friend. I have a lot of animal experience, including recurring walks, pet sitting, and boarding. I have worked with young puppies, senior dogs, large (100+ lb) dogs, small dogs, and dogs with special needs. I also have a lot of experience with giving animals medication, including oral and injections, as well as taking animals to the vet. I am a graduate student at UNCW, and therefore will have time during the day and nights on weekdays/weekends in between classes. I will walk and run with your dog, play catch and tug of war, play around, and just love your dog. I am rather astute at picking up signals from dogs, and never let them get overheated or dehydrated or uncomfortable. I always have an extra water bottle and tennis ball with me!
Reviews
Claire was very friendly and very knowledgeable about all areas of caring for dogs. She asked so many great questions to get to know the needs of our dogs. I would recommend her to anyone needing pet care.
Claire was great! Prompt, communicative, and friendly. Shared cute pics of the pups and left them happy!
Claire is fabulous! And she speaks ‘dog’! My Rosie adores her and is always happy to see Claire (as am I)! Rosie’s always tuckered out and smiling when she comes back home. Also, Claire is a very upbeat, genuinely sweet person.
Claire did a great job when we needed multiple weeks of drop-in visits for our cat, going above and beyond to help us out and ensure our cat was getting everything she needed and our home was taken care of. I would definitely book with Claire again!

Information Claire R. would like to know about your pet
Before watching a new dog, I always ask the owners if their dog has any triggers (loud noises, thunderstorms), old/current injuries or sensitive spots, aggressive tendencies, or medications. I also ask how they will react when meeting other dogs, new people, and kids. It is also helpful to know if the dog has any preferred walking spots, toys, or favorites spots to be scratched.
A typical day
I love walking dogs along nature trails where there are less chances of meeting many other people and dogs, but plenty of new smells and vegetation. I love running with dogs and playing with toys or wrestling around. One of my favorite activities is to kick a soccer ball around in the yard with the dog.
