Pet care experience
I lived with a family dog (from puppy days to his sweet senior years) for about ten years, and have experience dog-sitting for friends. I have a good read on dogs' energy levels—when they're asking for an energetic play session, a long walk, or a simply a snuggle session on the couch.

Claire took good care of our two cats, feeding them twice a day and giving one a pill each day. Even our shy kitty was comfortable with Claire, and always took her pill. We got great photos and descriptions of cat antics! And Claire kept things very clean - so nice to come home to.

Information Claire H. would like to know about your pet
No breed preference. I'd like to know your dog's size, appetite, energy levels, typical walking behaviors, friendliness toward other dogs and humans, and any new training you've been working on. Please let me know if your dog has any behavior idiosyncrasies or anything special you'd like me to accommodate for. My only strong preference is that I do not want to accept walks for dogs that aren't leash trained, or have a tendency to lunge at other dogs while on-leash. I expect this to change as I get more consistent dog walking experience with dogs that are new to me.
A typical day
If your dog is high-energy and playful like me, I will indulge them in nice long walks! I live on the Minuteman Bike Path, which is great for on-leash walking. If your dog prefers lower-traffic routes, I'm happy to take them on more familiar routes near your home. I'm also quite patient and will indulge your dog if they like to stop and sniff everything that catches their attention. We will also play lots of games! It's my goal to make sure that you come home to a happy dog.

Starting Monday, January 22, 2024, I am available pretty much any time (mornings/afternoons/evenings) for walks and dropins, and available all days of the week for dog-sitting in your home. My calendar is up to date through the end of February.
