Pet care experience
I've helped care for neighbor/family dogs my entire life. Though I've never had the privilege of owning a pet myself, I've been lucky enough to connect with many different dog breeds and puppy personalities along the way. My two most recent clients were a lovable yet energetic coyote-esque rescue pup from Puerto Rico, and an elderly goldendoodle who unfortunately suffered from deafness, blindness, and diabetes (required daily insulin injections). I'm comfortable meeting dogs where they are at in life and in training, and I'm happy to work with the owner to understand how I can best care for their pet while they are away.

Claire provided us with regular updates, which eased our nerves and allowed us to enjoy our time away knowing our dog was in good hands. I usually cater to what the owner/pet's typical routine is, like set meal times, average number of potty breaks/walks throughout the day, and sleeping arrangements. I don't like any dog feeling out of their comfort zone, so whatever I can do to make them feel normal, I try my best to accomplish. ☺️

A typical day
I enjoy long walks through the neighborhood and nearby parks. Fetch is a favorite, of course, and if a pup if interested, I love tossing balls/frisbees/etc. Snuggles on the couch are always fair game.

Availability
I am a homebody with a hybrid work schedule that only requires me to go into the office twice a week (if that). My building is VERY welcoming to dogs, and has a fenced dog run space along with easy access to walking paths. My schedule is flexible enough that frequent play time, potty breaks, and overnight stays are super manageable.
