Pet care experience

I have a few dogs of my own, two Huskies and two Mixed-Pomeranians. I am an experienced sitter with specialized skills in caring for puppies and senior pets. I have worked with various animals for over six years, I understand the different personalities and needs of each animal, and I am confident in my ability to provide the best care possible. In particular, I have developed specialized skills in training puppies and caring for senior pets. With puppies, I use positive reinforcement techniques to teach basic commands and socialization skills, which are crucial for their development. For senior pets, I understand the importance of monitoring their health and providing extra attention and care to ensure their comfort and well-being. Overall, my extensive experience and specialized skills make me a reliable and compassionate sitter who can provide top-quality care to any animal in my care.

Safety, trust & environment

As someone who offers pet care services both in my own home and at my client's home, my approach to pet care varies depending on the service I am providing. When caring for pets in my own home, I make sure to create a comfortable and safe environment for them. I have a designated space for them to sleep and play, and I provide them with plenty of toys, bedding, and food and water bowls. I make sure to stick to their regular feeding schedule and give them plenty of exercise and playtime throughout the day. Additionally, I take extra care to ensure their safety, such as keeping any potentially harmful items out of their reach and monitoring them closely during playtime. When caring for pets at my client's home, I prioritize open communication with my clients to ensure I am meeting their specific needs and expectations. I make sure to stick to their pet's regular routine, including feeding, exercise, and playtime. I also keep their home tidy and clean by cleaning up any pet messes and following their instructions for any household tasks. In both scenarios, I provide extra love and attention to the pets in my care. I prioritize their physical and emotional well-being by making sure they receive enough exercise, socialization, and affection. Overall, my goal is to provide the highest level of care for the pets I look after, whether it be in my own home or in my client's home.

Information CJ C. would like to know about your pet

As a dog caregiver, I understand the importance of knowing essential information about a dog before taking on the responsibility of caring for them. Here are some of the key pieces of information that I believe are important to know ahead of time: Medical history - It is crucial to know if the dog has any medical conditions, allergies, or requires any medication or special treatment. Temperament and behavior - Knowing the dog's personality, preferences, and typical behavior can help me provide the best care possible. It is important to know if the dog is shy, fearful, or aggressive, as this can affect how I interact with them and how I handle any potential challenges that may arise. Routine and training - Understanding the dog's daily routine, such as feeding and exercise schedules, is important to maintain consistency and prevent any disruptions to their routine. Knowing if the dog is trained or in the process of being trained can also help me adjust my caregiving approach to align with their training needs. Contact information - Having access to the dog's owner's contact information, as well as emergency contacts, is important in case of any unexpected situations that may arise. Any specific instructions - It is essential to know if there are any specific instructions or preferences that the owner has for their dog's care, such as dietary restrictions, preferred activities, or grooming preferences.

A typical day

As someone who loves spending time with dogs, I believe that fun activities are an essential part of any pet care routine. When watching dogs, I enjoy engaging them in various activities to keep them entertained and stimulated. One of my favorite activities to do with dogs is to take them on long walks to explore new places and get some exercise. I often choose nearby parks or hiking trails where dogs are allowed, and where there is plenty of room for them to run and play. I find that dogs love to be outside in nature, and they always seem to have a great time exploring new sights and smells. In addition to walks, I also enjoy playing games with dogs, such as fetch, tug-of-war, and hide-and-seek. These games are not only fun for the dogs, but they also help to develop their physical and cognitive abilities. Another fun activity I like to do with dogs is to take them to dog-friendly restaurants or cafes where they can socialize with other dogs and meet new people. I find that dogs love the attention they get from people and the opportunity to interact with other dogs in a new environment. Overall, I am always looking for fun and engaging activities to do with the dogs I watch. Whether it be a long walk in a park, a game of fetch, or a trip to a dog-friendly restaurant, I am committed to providing a fun and stimulating experience for the dogs in my care.

As a remote college student, I am fortunate to have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide excellent pet care for the dog I am watching. I make sure to incorporate caring for the dog into my daily and weekly routine to ensure they receive the best possible care. In the morning, I wake up early to take the dog for a walk and give them breakfast before I start my online classes. Throughout the day, I take breaks between classes to play with the dog, give them potty breaks, and make sure they have plenty of water and toys to keep them entertained. In the afternoon, I set aside time to take the dog for a longer walk or play at the park. I also make sure to give them any necessary medications or treatments according to their schedule. In the evening, I prepare their dinner, and after they eat, we go for another walk or play before bed.
