With a lifetime of owning and loving animals, and 13 years of rescue work dealing mainly with dogs having behavior and or health issues, I am able to build relationships with dogs as well as their owners. My background stems from being Public Relations Coordinator, Foster Home Coordinator and Community Outreach Coordinator for Arizona Basset Hound Rescue for a number of years. The dogs I was best suited to -and felt a supreme need to help most, were the ones least likely to be found adoptable and required much time and care in my home either recovering from illnesses, overcoming emotional trauma which resulted in aggression or fear, as well as the seniors (who melt my heart!!) Due to this being my main theme, I soon realized the main thing these particular dogs needed was permanency and devotion...to belong and not be removed from their home again. I vowed they would have just that so I adopted all my fosters and devoted myself to their care. My rescue work now consists of an as need basis and I transport for all groups also as needed. Currently my husband who is now retired from the Army, and I now have 3 Basset Hounds and 1 German Shepard . We share a love of animals ....so many in our life have asked us for assistance in care and or advice with their dogs, we have been blessed with a large comfortable home with lots of room to romp and now we have time to be home -so we felt we should just open our home officially to be able to provide as needed
