Pet care experience
I have had dog's my entire life. Parent's raised German Shepherds, I have shared my life with four GS's. Now that I am retired I want to travel with no worries. I have a very active lifestyle which includes hiking, walking, yoga, biking. Yet something is missing trail buddy, wet kisses, curl ups by the fire, warm body in bed, kind of sounds like a single's ad? The last few years I have cared for friends and family dogs. I am conscientious and knowledgeable of most common dog issues, health or behavior. My last dog was special needs and I am acutely aware of the difficulties when needing to be away. My expertise is too long for this site. Let's meet and see what fit's.

Cindy was wonderful with our dogs. Angel got plenty of excercise and love. Spalding, our geriatric dog, was well cared for and loved. Our kitchen remodel was not quite complete and Cindy had no problem adapting. Our house was clean when we arrived home. So glad we can get a responsible person for in home care
Cindi took excellent care of our dog. We highly recommend her.
Cindy watched our two dogs for 6 nights. The dogs were relaxed and well-walked upon our return. Cindy took the extra time to meet with us beforehand (twice) to walk and get acquainted with the dogs. And she had no issue dealing with raw food. Definitely recommend her!

I have yet to meet a breed I didn't love. My own experience has been with GS/ retrievers/pit lab crosses. I am moving towards the smaller breeds if I ever have the heart to start over. I do not want to walk/hike with dog's that are aggressive on or off leash, no cat killers or drag you to the ground when observing SQUIRRELS! I feel strongly about meeting and getting to know the particulars of your dog's proclivities, before you leave. Food intolerances and medications must be written clearly and gone over in detail.
A typical day
I hike or walk everyday. I rarely leave pet's home even if it is just a hop in the car for a trip to the store. Dog parks are great if your pooch is accustomed to them, but I am not enamored with most other dog owners' behavior. I do not trust their judgement as a rule. Too often I have heard " he/she is usually friendly". I am home and in bed usually before 9 and up by 5.
