Happy Paws

Pet care experience

I've been a dog mom for the past three years, going through my own struggles related to caring for a live being, but I've learnt that everything is worthwhile considering the blessings we are given. Through friends and my days as a trainer, I have babysat, trained and advised other pet owners on how to incorporate positive reinforcement, potty training, diet research, socializing and appropriate physical activity.

Cindy is an attentive and responsible pet owner. She is knowledgeable about pets especially dogs since she has 2 of her own. We use to work together at Petco, she worked as a dog trainer and would always receive great reviews from her clients. With her previous training as a dog trainer, she is well aware of the needs of different breeds of dogs. I wholeheartedly trust her with the responsibility of being with others dogs.

Cindy is very respectful and very thorough with her explanations on her training methods and the next steps she will take with my pet. She has helped me train my dog with crate training, sit and down.

Safety, trust & environment

I've pet-proofed my house for both my pets and guests. The safety and health of the dog are very important to me, so I make sure to clean up after myself in the kitchen, mop the floor, cover the wires, and check with the pet parent about what foods are acceptable and not acceptable. I am always watchful outside for any potentially harmful objects and hot pavement.

Information Cindy M. would like to know about your pet

I believe it’s important to learn in advance a dogs medical history and behavioral issues. What are some triggers that can cause a dog to become scared, fearful or even aggressive. I would like to even know about the dogs usual schedule on a daily basis.

A typical day

One of the most important things for me a dog has enrichment toys for mental stimulation. Working as dog trainer, has taught me method to encore positive reinforcement so learning new good habits that benefit the pet parent. Best of all, doggie walks or runs. I like to do my research on areas, being a small dog owner I’m extremely cautious on the floor and pavement. One of my favorite parks is Central Park but I’m hoping to expand my options on other safe communities. A big no no is dog parks due to unvaccinated dogs and instigated dog fights.
