Your dog your house! Safely at home

Pet care experience

Your sweet dog will enjoy a comfortable and active stay with me as I love dogs and have lots of time for them. I have had yellow labs for the last 20 of 23 years. I would love to take your dog for walks, hikes, swimming or cross country skiing in the winter. Also if your dog needs less physical but more mental stimulation due to age or disability I have experience with that too. Back in the 2000's I ran a small business caring for dogs and have experience with dogs ranging from chihuahuas to Tibetan Mastiffs (see pics). Mainly I know how hard it is to leave a dog behind while traveling and will make sure your dog gets exercise, attention and made to feel like it is part of a pack-family while you are gone. I can send picture and video updates so you can enjoy seeing your dog happy and engaged or just relaxing or snoozing from your phone.

Cindy did a great job taking care of our dog. He's a little nervous around new people and she took the time to get to know him and earn his trust. House and dog were both well cared for while we were gone. We'll be checking Cindy's availability for our next trip out of town for sure.

My puppy, Nikko and I are together almost 24/7...work,play, travel or whatever, so I was a bit nervous when I had to go out of town without him. Cindy made my trip away worryfree and put my mind at ease. She sent pictures of Nikko making himself at home, hanging out with her dog, comfy in bed and even joining friends for Monday night football fun! I never have to worry again, if I can leave Nikko in her care. Cindy is a true dog lover and adopted her current dog, Brandy from a rescue center, so your pup will not be lonely. She provides a safe haven with a huge yard in which to run and play. Nikko now gets excited when we drive up to her home, anxious to see his friends. I highly recommend Cindy's Your Dog My Place!?

Stella had a wonderful time.

Cindy is a very caring, diligent person when it comes to both people and dogs. While Phoebe, my yellow Labrador retriever who is now three years old, was a puppy, Cindy took care of her on many days when our work schedule kept us away from home for the entire day. Today, Phoebe, is a wonderful, disciplined dog with strong social skills and I have no doubt Cindy played an important role in her development.

Information Cindy K. would like to know about your pet

Other than the basics, food, allergies, etc. I need to know if the dog is prone to aggressive behavior. I will not let a dog off leash unless I know the dog well or we are in a fenced area. If a dog is super talented and can jump a fence I need to know.

A typical day

We can walk on the Snake River Levee, hike at Teton Village or Teton Pass or just take a stroll on the pathway. I have my go to safe spots for swimming in the summers. I do not bike with dogs except those where the pet parent's request it and I do know how to take a high energy dog on a leash at a trot to burn energy. I only do this early morning or late afternoon if it is hot out.
