Not only did I grow up with dogs but I was the primary caretaker of the yellow lab we had for fourteen years while raising our family. Being a lab, she needed a lot of exercise and so I ran, walked and swam with her. I also bathed her when needed and of course, fed her daily. I worked with a dog trainer (and our lab) that taught me useful skills in helping our dog stay well behaved and respectful. I also learned that I enjoy the off-leash parks (especially the one at Magnuson Park) and walking through neighborhoods and the Arboretum. I have a car to get to various locations. Being an empty nester and recently losing our lab I miss the joy and company that a pet provides.
