Exclusively for small breeds

Pet care experience

CHIHUAHUAS CHOICE, The Small Breed Daycare & Boarding home that is exclusive to small breed dogs only. I specialize in Chihuahuas, and seniors. These dogs need special handling and care due to their size. These little dynamo's can easily get hurt, or overlooked at commercial daycares or with sitters that are unfamiliar with small breeds, or have large breeds in their homes. That's where I come in. I have had small dogs for over 10 years and understand the needs of these little dynamos. It's the small things that make a BIG difference such as: *frequent potty breaks *floor level beds *small toys *soft treats *lightweight collars and leashes *positive voices *Supervised playtime *Calm therapy with pet safe aromatherapy diffuser *Big enclosed yard for safe roaming *Daily desensitization grooming and dental care *Training and communicating at eye level - Literally getting on the ground! I teach basic dog commands and am an advocate for Positive Reinforcement Training (look up Zac George on youtube) So whether you need daycare or boarding your furbaby will receive stimulation, playtime, plenty of love, and warm laps. If you have any questions about my services or what I can do with your pup just give me a shout.

I have been friends with Cindy for about 5 years. Although I don’t have dogs, she has such an incredible passion for little dogs, well animals in general. She spends time training and loving on her little fur babies. Cindy works at home with flexiblity to love on and assist your fur baby.

DEVELOPING TRUST, LANGUAGE, AND PROVIDING SAFETY I watch for body language, glances, and a range of barks as this is how they communicate with us. I pay close attention to what is happening and will monitor your pup for signs of happiness, or stress. Each week we will focus on 1 (one) new training in the morning, and 1 (one) new game in the afternoon. The training and games usually compliment each other. This type of stimulation creates new vocabulary for your pet, and give you more control and safety for your pet. If they can listen to you when their having fun, then they can listen to you when their safety is at stake. 1. I develop trust based on what you pet wants. When your pet needs space I provide a quiet fenced off area where they can acclimate at their own speed. 2. If you pet builds trust through cuddles, and holding then I can provide that needed physical contact. 3. Chihuahuas tend to like their own breed only (unless socialized early) Even so I like to take introductions slowly so they can adjust to new playmates' and their new surroundings. 4. My backyard is enclosed with a 6' fence. They are always supervised when they go out.
