Cid's PAWSitive Stays

Pet care experience

Hello I'm Cid' (or you can call me Cindy)! I have had the joy and pleasure of having over 100 foster greyhounds come through my home over the years and on to their forever homes. Along the way, four became part my family. Sadly they have all now crossed over Rainbow Bridge and I find my home feels empty without four paws following me around. While a foster parent, I had many opportunities to care and work with what we called "Special Needs" dogs. These were dogs that were either recovering from broken leg surgeries & various other medical treatments, anxious and shy dogs we lovingly called "Spooks", seniors, and some with separation anxiety. I have the experience and patience to work with all the needs of your Kidz, special or not. Additionally, I have ramps to assist older dogs, elevated food/water stands, and also a "Help 'em Up Harness", a wonderful comfortable way to aid seniors or those in recovery, up and down stairs or during walks. Personally, I have dealt with my own "Kidz" special needs.... Osteosarcomas, Leg Amputation, Chemo Therapy, Pancreatitis, Inflammatory Bowel Disorder, and even partial paralysis and parethesia in my last boy. I went to every length available to provide the best of care, love and attention for my "Kidz" and will do no less for yours! I want your precious pet to experience an easy, comfortable transition from your home to their "Home away from Home". I am a retired Dental Hygienist looking to fill my time and home with activities that I love and caring for your pet would be high on my list! My home is lovingly referred to as "The Doghouse". Plenty of dog beds to choose from and even the master-bed is open to share if that is what your pet is most comfortable with while you're away. My yard is completely fenced and locked, with grass and paw friendly mulch and pea gravel. No metal edging to cut paws! I live on a street with no drive through traffic. Best of all, there are two parks, three schools and Jeffco Open Space trails within walking distance of my home. One park is located just at the end of my street and another 3/4 of a mile away with a lake! Should you like, I also have all passes and tags required to take them to Chatfield to enjoy the dog park, and can transport them safely and comfortably in my Subaru. Aside from routine errands and brief personal activities, your loved one will rarely be left alone. However, it bares mentioning, on an individual basis, depending on your pet and their demeanor, I may require kenneling when I am away from home or overnight. It has been my experience that leather couches make great chew toys for those with anxiety! 😊 Once your pup is more comfortable with their temporary home, this may no longer have to be the case. When we meet, we can discuss what would work best for your "Kidz". *PLEASE MAKE NOTE*.... Stays are charged per 24hr period of time (“Day”). Additional time ( ~2hrs up to 6hrs) over the final 24hr period, will be charged an additional fee for Daycare ($50/Dog). Additional time over 6hrs after the final 24hr period will be charged as an additional day. Examples: 1) Dropping off at 8:00am on Monday and picking up on Tuesday at 10:00am would’ be charged only the 1 day (with a grace period of up to 2-3hrs) 2) Dropping off at 8:00am on Monday and picking up at 2:00pm on Tuesday would be charged 1 Day + Daycare. 3) Dropping off at 8:00am on Monday and picking up at 8:00pm on Tuesday would be charged 2 Days. Additionally, for holiday stays, there is an added daily fee of $10.00 per day I recognize that not all kidz do well with others, and so I am happy to arrange for your furry one(s) to be “Solo Guest(s)” if needed. There would however be an additional charge for this service, which may be discussed prior to booking the stay. I accept up to 3 guests only at any given time. I do this so that you’re furry one will have the best care and attention I may possibly provide. It would be a great pleasure to set up a time to meet you and your Kid(z). Get to know me and discover a loving "Home Away From Home". I would consider it an honor to be charged with their care. Cid'

Cindy was great in dealing with our counter surfing, squirrel chasing, escape artist Ridgeback. She took him on several walks and hikes. Also sent several texts, photos & even a video to keep updated. I will definitely use her services again.

Cindy was amazing. She watched my dog Birkie for 3 days and 2 nights and I am very happy with my experience. I received lots of texts and pictures and could feel that Birkie was in great hands while I was out of town. Cindy took him on a hike and took amazing pictures. 10/10, 5 stars, highly recommend.

My yard is secure with dog friendly landscaping and no edging that could hurt their delicate paws. In summer I bring out the pool for plenty of cool, refreshing playtime! I have all the beds, dishes, toys and treats! Just bring their good and whatever else you think would make them the most comfortable and at ease while you’re away.
