Cindy has taken care of our family dog, Joplin, off and on since he was only 12 weeks old. My son adopted Joplin, who is part pit-bull, in college and needless to say, Joplin was not trained in the traditional way and can be challenging in some areas. Joplin felt comfortable with Cindy within seconds and he cries with excitement every time he sees her. They have their own little connection and things only they do together. She is very patient and loving with him and has her own way of playing with Joplin, but she also makes sure she is following our family's way of doing certain things, like when to give him treats, what furniture he is allowed on, what types of toys he has. Joplin is 2-1/2 now, 65 pounds, and very active. Cindy plays frisbee with him and tug-a-war to help get rid of some of his excess energy. She knows just where he likes his butt scratched and when he's ready to go to bed. Cindy keeps his food and water bowls clean and filled and even picks up after him when he destroys a toy every now and then. We are very thankful to have Cindy in Joplin's life!
