Pet care experience
Since the tender age of 5, I have been immersed in the pet care world. Four-legged friends (even some three-legged ones) were among my best pals. I pride myself in my ability to read body language, understand their needs and urges, and maintain a safe and controlled environment at all times. Friends, family, and neighbours alike entrust their furry family into my care, knowing that I will call them at the slightest worry and constantly send photos. I’m now in my mid-20s and just as passionate about what I do, if not more. I have an abundance of love for all furiends and cannot wait to meet more!

Cierra was a literal angel, nothing short of perfect! My dog definitely thinks he’s the center of the world and she gave him all the love and attention he could’ve asked for! She even took on my guinea pig despite having never cared for one before. I got constant pictures and updates throughout my whole trip and never once worried about if my babies were being cared for properly. She left my apartment spotless as well! Couldn’t recommend her enough, I will absolutely be using her again!!! ☺️
Where to even begin?! Cierra is such a gem. The sweetest, kindest sitter you could ever want. She stayed in my home with my 2 pups over the weekend and loved them as if they were her own. She left my house so clean and tidy that you’d never know anyone was there. My dogs truly adored her and were sad when she left! I am so thankful that I didn’t once have to worry about my babies while I was away. I received lots of photo updates too which is so nice! I truly cannot recommend booking Cierra enough. She is simply the best. If she is available to watch your animal(s), consider yourself lucky that you have just booked the best sitter ever!!!

I do not presently have any dogs of my own, but do have two cats. However, I grew up and have handled dogs since I was a young lady and am extremely comfortable caring for either type of fur-baby - or perhaps both, if you have them. I always carry plenty of water and am trained in pet first aid. I am comfortable taking your pup out for regular walks around your own neighbourhood and tend to let them choose where to walk, so our journey is as long as they decide it should be (or until it feels unsafe to continue going, i.e. due to weather or your pup is looking tired). I will follow all instructions you leave for me and contact you should there be any needs for clarification. If you have a preferred activity (i.e., jogging, fetch, hiking, etc) I am always open to accommodate, and prefer to use the pups regular walking leash/harness/collar setup, though I do have my own items to use if necessary. If your baby has a particular favourite thing - be it fetch, cuddling, being brushed, etc - I will be MORE than happy to spend the majority of the time doing so. I will alert you to any issue that may arise, and will reach out via phone call if it’s urgent.

Please let me know ahead of time if your kiddo has any special needs or medications that need to be accounted for. I have experience and am comfortable with handling any breed type, but would like to be aware of any reactivity levels, medications, or current health issues. I would also like to know if you or they are avoidant to any particular activity and what would be a preferred activity instead. I’m an avid supporter of fully-vaccinated pups, but if yours is receiving boosters or is under (or over) the age to do so, please let me know so I can account for that into our routine. I do have experience with administering medication via injection, however I am not fully comfortable in doing so without pet parents being around on the off chance that the pet does not receive my presence well. Your pet’s safety is my TOP priority.
A typical day
I love matching the activity level of any kiddo I’m about to visit! For the high energy babies, I’ve found runs, frisbee/fetch, and particularly long walks to be especially fun. My low-energy kiddos are typically fond of a traditional walk, maybe jog, with lots of loving and their favourite activity thrown in. I’m always excited to experience something new - especially if it’s your kiddos favourite place! For those that enjoy walks in the comfort of their own neighbourhood, I love to go for as long as the kiddo is comfortable and encourage them to smell around, as I’ve noticed that many enjoy “sniff walks!” If there’s any particular space they do or do not enjoy, please let me know so that I can maximize their enjoyment! If your pup prefers the privacy of their backyard, I will happily be out there with them.

Availability
I do currently have a full-time job in the pet care industry and would thus primarily be open to housesitting or drop-in visits. I am very open about my schedule and would be more than happy to work with you to successfully create a visit where I can have an appropriate amount of time with your baby while also maintaining my own routine. If you do choose me to care for your loved ones, I will send you the breakdown of my schedule for the duration of the stay the moment I receive it, and - particularly if you book far in advance - will beforehand give you the gist of my schedule layout. All this being said, I have no reservations about taking your pup out for long walks (based on their fitness level and weather tolerance), playing with them in whatever manner they prefer best (fetch, frisbee, tug, etc), and loving on them endlessly. I do maintain clients both on and off of this platform, but my calendar does reflect an accurate availability regarding bookings. Please note: I do have 2 cats of my own, but I live right next to my place of work and will tend to them in the mornings and evenings, often merging my work travel time with my care of my own pets. This will be the only time, aside from a doctor’s appointment or my job, which I will be away from your pet and I will ALWAYS disclose any time I leave your pets to you. **I accept last minute housesitting requests for active-duty military and aviation crewmembers**
