Pet care experience
I have been an animal lover my entire life and have years of experience caring for my own pets. As someone new to the area, I unfortunately don’t get to see my own beloved cat Shiru very often as he lives out of state with my family, which has left me with a Shiru-sized hole in my heart and lots of love to share! I am very caring and gentle with all animals and love a good cuddle as much as some playtime. Having been a pet owner myself, I know how to balance being fun with being responsible when it comes to walks, bathroom breaks, meal times, and boundaries. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have also helped my neighbors, friends, and family with pet care needs on numerous occasions - ranging from walks and check ins to over night stays. I am excited to provide your pet with a loving and engaging environment, and I am conveniently located in pet-friendly Downtown Bethesda with easy access to multiple walking trails and dog parks.

Ciara took great care of my cat Gus. Before and during his stay, she made me feel comfortable leaving Gus in her care. Couldn't help but always smile each time she sent updates with info, pics and videos telling me & showing how Gus was doing while in her care. Gus is usually pretty shy when he's around people that he doesn't know, so it was great seeing him doing so well while with her. So I can't recommend Ciara enough. Next time I need someone to take care of Gus, will book with Ciara again.
Ciara did an absolutely wonderful job checking in on our cat while we were on vacation for a week! He’s a bit high maintenance and high energy, but Ciara followed all instructions perfectly. She was flexible, dependable, and very communicative. She sent plenty of amazing pictures and videos to help us feel better about leaving our cat behind for the first time. I cannot recommend her enough!

Ciara was great! Lady G had a really comfortable stay. Ciara shared regular updates and pictures (where Lady G seemed to be in her queendom). She was really mindful of Lady G's care, and followed up about her behavior, diet and activities. Highly recommend!

When caring for pets in my home, I am very attentive and always ensure a safe and danger-free environment by pet proofing all areas. This includes keeping toxic items out of reach, encasing electrical cords and electronics, closing all doors and windows, and putting away any plants. For cats, my apartment has a large window ledge perfect for bird watching and plenty of cozy surfaces to nap on. For dogs, my apartment building is located on a quiet street far from busy roads and is within walking distance of parks, trails, and dog-friendly areas. When caring for pets in client’s homes, I am always respectful of house rules and make sure to communicate often to let clients know when I will be arriving and leaving.

Availability
I am currently working remotely full time in my spacious apartment, which means I have plenty of time to attend to your pet and shower them with love and attention. As an avid walker, I’m always going on short walks whenever I can and love to spend evenings and weekends exploring nature trails and parks - perfect for active dogs!
