Looking for a walking buddy!
Pet care experience
I have moved to the area but am unable to have a dog of myown so I’m looking for some “responsibility free” dog love. I am willing to drive to your home and check on their pups, go on long walks or even have sleep overs! I live right by the beautiful Monterey coast and love to walk along the hiking paths and would love some company. I grew up with dogs of ALL sizes and have over 8 years of caring experience, both children and pets. I also have no problem training the basic walking etiquette while getting some exercise, an old roommates pup had some leash aggression issues and after 2 months of walking with me you could see a real difference. I have an extremely flexible daytime schedule and look forward to making new doggy friends!

Ciara has been great with our dog, Pumpkin (a sweet and sassy pitbull mix). Ciara has walked Pumpkin on several occasions, and spent a week at our house caring for her when we were out of town. Ciara is reliable, trustworthy, and loves animals (and the animals love her back). I’m sad that she moved too far away for us to continue having her to help with Pumpkin, but our loss is your gain.
We hired Ciara to take care of Abby, our 9-year-old Lab/Golden Retriever pooch for 3 days/2 nights in April. Ciara walked her twice a day on Abby's favorite trails in Pacific Grove, threw the ball for her in our yard, fed her in the morning and evening, and watched TV with her after dinner. Ciara slept in our guest room while Abby slept in her own bed in the living room. Ciara was neat and tidy, even stripping the sheets off the bed and placing them in the washer before we arrived home. My name is Haley Cadieux and I have lived with Ciara previously. I highly recommend Ciara for the position of a dog caregiver. She is very friendly, outgoing, and loves to be active. As a roommate she was the caregiver for my dog. She walked him daily while I was at work, and kept him entertained. Not only did she walk him daily, but she trained him to sit at cross walks, walk by her side, and was in complete control of him to behave. Ciara loves animals and being outside. She is driven to work and staying busy. She has the personality to get along with anyone who walks by or comes across. Ciara would be a perfect fit to be a dog caregiver.

I live in a smallish apartment so if the dog is potty trained and on the smaller side, I have no problem housing them. If you are comfortable with my staying at your home I have no problem with this either and would also be willing to do some light housework.

If the dog has any dietary or medical needs. I have no problem administering medicine. I would also like to know how the dog reacts when around other animals or people.
A typical day
I live just a few blocks away from the Asilomar coastal paths as well as some nice Pebble beach hiking trails. I am also always willing to explore new areas and paths. I like to work with dogs in simple commands while walking in order for them to feel at ease with me.

Availability
I work part-time at night, with my shifts starting at 515 and ending around 11, so I am available in the earlyish morning until about 4pm. Due to this schedule, I am also able to do late night drop ins.
