Pet care experience
I’ve cared for adult and elderly dogs and cats of all kinds for many years (I’ve cared for cats since I was a child!). I can administer medication and I’ve administered shots to cats before, too. I also love helping dogs and cats get the exercise they need in this cramped city! It’s an honor to get to walk, play with, and help your pet stay healthy and safe while you’re busy or out of town ☺️

For dogs: I would like to know if a dog has any history of aggressive or avoidant behavior with children, adults or other dogs. I love playing with collies, shepherds and other high energy breeds and breed mixes. For cats: it’s definitely helpful to know if they’ve been eating normally and how frequently they vomit or do or don’t eat when their human is away.
A typical day
For dogs: Walks and jogs in/to Prospect Park etc. Tug of war, frisbee, fetch! I follow parents’ rules for whether your dog wants to/can play with other dogs or not. I will also follow parents’ rule about interactions with children and other humans while out for walks. As for cats, we play with feather toys and lasers (I always give them the chance to actually “catch” their prey). I like to play with cats in a way that gives them a chance to run around, pounce, jump, and “hunt” every once in a while (with age and ability taken into consideration, of course).

Availability
I run a part-time business some afternoons/evenings and have plenty of mornings free, plus odd hours sprinkled throughout the week. I currently have all day on Fridays and Saturdays available, as well.
