Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m Ciara, a 29 year old animal lover, who is available mainly for house sitting and drop ins. I am a friendly caring person, with a calm and responsible nature. My Experience: I have previously worked as a trainee veterinary nurse for just over a year and so have experience in animal handling and care, grooming, cleaning, administering treatments eg. pill giving, feeding and short dog walks. My first pet, Phoebe (pictured as a kitten with me), was my furry sibling and best friend from the age of 5 until she sadly passed away when I was 20, sparking my love for animals. Since then I have cat-sat for friends and fostered several cats from stray kittens to pregnant run aways and friendly (and maybe a little greedy!) neighbourhood wanderers for several months at a time. I have also worked as a volunteer at local rescue centre The Moggery in Bishopston. However I don’t currently have any pets of my own due to renting and am really missing that animal interaction, so I would love the chance to look after your lovely pet! I would be happy to pet sit or drop in for your cat, dog or small furry. I live in the east Bristol area and am able to travel for overnight stays. My job allows me to work flexibly so I will be available for drop ins on the days I am at home in Bristol. My weekend availability is more open and there is flexibility to do overnight stays throughout the week. I am a quiet, calm person who is aware that all animals have different temperaments and needs and so am happy to adapt to fit into your home environment and requirements. Ciara was great with my slightly nervous rescue dog who hasn’t had anyone else looking after her before. She ensured that we all met beforehand and her communication throughout was fab. She sent pictures when she arrived at our house and made me feel at ease whilst she was there. I would definitely use Ciara for dog walking and drop in visits again.
Ciara was brilliant with Goose. He can struggle with separation anxiety and is quite a high energy puppy, but Ciara put him at his ease and was very happy to play with him and run through his tricks. She sent me several photos during the evening that she was looking after him for us to show him happily snoozing and playing which was lovely to see and definitely put my nerves to rest! We would not hesitate to use Ciara again, she was excellent. Thank you so much!
Great experience with Ciara. She sent regular updates and Alfie was very happy with her especially with his extra requirements. She was super accommodating and lovely throughout.
