Cianne's Pet Care!

Pet care experience

***Please read**** About me! My name is Cianne, I am 23 years old. I am a student at CSULA, and I am studying Theatre! My days are usually flexible. I have had pets in my life since I was born, cats and dogs for the most part. Recently I have had experience with rats and rabbits, too. My experience with Rover has been great! I have had a few puppies, and I don’t have much experience handling them, so I wouldn’t feel very comfortable with them without getting detailed information about them and their schedules. I’ve worked with dog aggressive dogs, so I’m great with them! If you have used my services previously, feel free to leave a review! I love hearing from customers! It helps me know if I’m doing something right or wrong. I welcome and encourage honesty!

Cianne provided a nightmare dog boarding visit for our dog Oops. We were driving 2,700 miles across the country and were using Rover for the first time. We were over the moon excited to have found a potential valuable resource like Rover for our dogs. Cianne was eager to agree to keep our sweet boy. When we booked for him to do a doggie daycare one day with her so that he could get to know her, she was open to this and let us book it. She cancelled the morning of to say that she "forgot" she booked 4 dogs to stay with her. That was on a Monday and Oops was to be dropped off on Wednesday for a 5 day stay. We weren't happy about it but she had such great reviews, we figured everything would be ok and we were just being nervous parents. Cianne began by saying that she loved him and didn't want to give him back. She sent photos of Oops in her apartment, but never outside playing. Soon after she began by saying that he was chewing her dog's leashes and going to the bathroom in her apartment. Before another day she had him locked in a crate saying that he was "deviant". She asked us to pick him up early because he was being so bad. To begin: Oops is a 1 and a half year old adolescent dog. He needs exercise in the way of walks, hikes, playtime with toys- whatever. He also is a HUGE snuggler and wants to hang out with you all the time. He's a pleaser, he's a big lover, and he loves to play. He is the easiest, sweetest, joy of a dog to be around. All of this was communicated and honestly quite obvious for anyone that knows an adolescent dog. From what we have pieced together Cianne provided a very sedentary stay for Oops with other anxious dogs in her apartment. Oops began acting out because he wasn't getting the exercise he needs and she punished him rather than adapting to his needs and what her job is. Oops had diarrhea when he was picked up. He obviously had an upset stomach either from the stress of this terrible stay with her, or he got into something in her house. Either way he had an upset stomach and should have been given more opportunities to go outside and NOT punished by locking him in a cage and sequestered in a room away from everyone. We have spent the last 3 days hiking him, running him, and taking him to the ocean because he had so much energy he wasn't getting released from Cianne and her care. When our friend picked him up early because we still had 20+ hours of driving ahead of us, Cianne and her boyfriend acted cold and said zero words to our friend who was doing a favor by picking up Oops. She has also not contacted us to talk or communicate about what went on. In conclusion: Cianne was un-professional, a poor communicator, and immature as a caregiver for our sweet baby boy. She misrepresents herself on her profile as a "professional" dog caregiver. Instead of adapting to the needs of the dog, she labeled him as "deviant" and "bad". She quite possibly takes on too many dogs at a time to provide adequate care to the individual dogs. We have learned from this experience to research our sitters more thoroughly.

Cianne is an excellent dog sitter. She even prepared a boarding report for Piper's stay. She sent lots of photos of our four-legged family members having a great time. I highly recommend her! Thanks again Cianne!
