Responsible, dog-loving UWS couple!

Pet care experience

We're both dog lovers to the core. Allie grew up with a cockapoo who was around for a heart-warming 15 years! Chuck didn't grow up with a pet but loves dogs just the same. We both light up whenever we see dogs and luckily dogs feel the same way about us! We're mindful of feeding schedules, grooming and hygiene, training, and most importantly, their emotional well-being. We firmly believe that walks are for the benefit of the dog, not the human, and they should be able to check their "pee-mail", as we call it, and smell to their heart's content. If there are any specific requests or needs, please let us know! As two tried and true service industry folks, we pride ourselves on being very accommodating.

The absolute best sitters. i can’t say enough good things. My dog who has an iron stomach and rarely has a GI issue, they completely nursed him back to health when I was away, just so far above and beyond. If you have any nerves about leaving your dog whatsoever, they make you feel so completely comfortable and at ease about being away. I think my pup may have a better time with them than at home with me. Genuinely the best !

Wilson seemed to have a great time, and I appreciated the regular updates and attention to detail even for a short stay! I can tell by how tired he is that he received a lot of attention and care :-)

The very best sitters. I never have to worry for a moment about my pup when he’s with them. They take such great care of my dog and truly go above and beyond. They give him amazing adventures in the park and so much love. My dog absolutely loves staying with them.

Safety, trust & environment

We respect the way our clients have set up their homes, including crates, gates, and off-limits spaces and/or furniture. So, while we're fans of cuddling with a pup on the couch, we know that's not the right choice for everyone and will echo your wishes while watching your dog. We prioritize leash safety before leaving our apartment, when walking outside, and when around other dogs. And when in your home, we're discrete, respectful of privacy, follow your instructions, and will ask questions before looking for anything we may need while looking after your pet like paper towels, cleaning solutions, treats, etc.

Information Chuck & Allie C. would like to know about your pet

We'd love to know about any behavioral issues, so we can be sure to do our best to support your pup, as well as any tricks or commands they're currently learning that you'd like us to focus on while with them. Additionally, please let us know if they are fed any dog food or treats with turmeric or shellfish in them (Allie is very allergic!).

A typical day

We know it's important to exercise a pup's brain as much as it is their body. We'll be sure to play lots of games—we love playing Find the Treat!—and take them for our signature Sniffaris, where they are encouraged to sniff to their snout's content so they tucker themselves out for the next few hours! We also give each pup lots of encouragement, praise, scratches behind the ears, belly rubs, massages, and snuggles! Lastly, for the safety of your sweet pup, we won't take them to a dog park and/or let them off-leash in Central Park unless you let us know in advance that they will do well. If we have the go ahead to let them off-leash, we practice recall commands in advance to be extra confident. We are always conscious of their body language, especially with the on-leash greetings that are so common in our dog-friendly neighborhood. We aim for a calm environment for your pup to stay in while they're away from you and have successfully cared for many a pet with varying levels of separation anxiety and wee pups just weeks old. If you need a specific schedule or service that you don't see listed, please let us know.

We're based at home, full-time, during services and only sit, walk, or board from one family—with a maximum of two dogs—so we're able to promise that your beloved pup(s) will be our sole focus while we're watching them. We value active and attentive engagement with our pup pals—from snuggles and pets to fetch or "Find it!" sniffing games—but we also understand the value of them getting in a nice, uninterrupted solo snooze.
