I love animals and will take them any day over humans. I had dogs growing up, but 11 years ago I adopted my first dog as an adult that I took care of all on my own (not like when I was a kid and had help). Unfortunately, she crossed the rainbow bridge last year. I've never been so heartbroken. I had to take a break from Rover and grieve for my girl properly. My girl was very much loved and spoiled, but well behaved. She didn't bark and liked to spend her days chilling on her bed, the couch, or my bed. She loved belly rubs, treats, and chasing squirrels. She was a rescue and I firmly believe in rescuing dogs as there are so many that need good homes. She ruled my life and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I'm still not ready to adopt again, but I miss being around furry angels and thought it would be good for me to offer my services on rover in addition to my volunteer work at local shelters and rescues. Though my pup was #1 in my heart, I love and spoil all dogs (and cats). I am reliable and very comfortable with so-called bully breeds. There are no0 bad breeds, only bad owners. I will not accept a booking unless I am 100% positive I can commit. I know how frustrating it can be to have a petsitter/walker cancel on you last minute. I do everything in my power to ensure that will not happen.

I have a 2-story townhome. If you want me to put a baby gate up so your pup doesn't use the stairs I will. Otherwise your pup has free reign of the house. I am in a furnished rental that allows pets. Your pup is allowed on the furniture. I'll simply put sheets down to cover the furniture to help with the fur. Water will be out at all times and I'll follow your instructions regarding food and treats. I work from home and will be with your pup most of the day unless I run a quick errand. I am happy to take the with me for the car ride if you tell me that is okay. During their stay with me they will receive plenty of love and attention. I have a back patio area with grass for plentilful potty breaks and I live in a nice, dog-friendly sub-division for walks. Your pup will always be on a leash when we are outside of my home. In your home I will follow whatever instructions you leave me. But in addition to your instructions, I generally will call out to your pet/s when I enter so they hear my voice immediately. I'll give them some hugs and pets and then take them out immediately for a potty break. If you paid for a walk then we will go for a walk after they have their potty break. I then check their food and water bowels. Clean them if needed and of course refill them. I'll check the area to see it your babe had any accidents and clean them if they did. After all this stuff has been done, then it is play time with your baby. If they aren't in the mood to play then I'll simply spend time with them. If they want cuddles, pets, or simply just for me to be near them, I'll accommodate what they want. A few minutes before the visit is over, I'll take them out for one more potty break just in case. And of course during my visit they will get treats if you allow. I then give them one last cuddle goodbye and ensure your door is locked when I leave. I'll then send you a pic or whatever update you requested.

I need to know if they are aggressive with others if we are going to go on walks. I'd never let your dog off the leash of course, but if they are anxious or don't like other dogs/people, I'll take extra care to walk them in a low populated area or sidestep others. I need to know if they have any part of their body they don't like touched. For example, my dog didn't like her paws touched. I also need to know if they are allowed dog-friendly treats or any special instructions in regards to feeding. For instance, are they food aggressive. I need to know if they like to walk/jog/run. I wouldn't want to over-exert your babe.
A typical day
Depends on the location of the owner, but if possible the park (only will take to a dog park if owner gives the okay) or beach. I like to run with dogs if they are up for it, play tug of war, fetch, etc. Based on weather and temperatures I will be careful of what activities we do outside.If your baby likes to swim and you have a pool, I'm happy to let them get in the pool and play for a bit. I'll get in with them if that's okay and they like that. If weather is bad and doesn't allow for a day out, or your pup doesn't like car rides, we will find activities to do indoors. I take. my cues from the pup how active they want to be (unless given specific instructions by the owner what they want their dog to do, exercise requirements, etc,)

I make my own schedule and I work from home. If I'm busy then obviously I won't accept a booking. As a dog owner I understand the need for reliable service, so I will not accept a booking unless I am 100% positive I can commit.
