I always had a dog growing up. Some of the breeds I had as a child were lab, cocker spaniel, and Lhasa apso. In my 20s I became a dog mom to a bichon frise, Zoe. I lived in Chicago in an apartment so I had to walk her multiple times a day. Bichons also need a lot of maintenance with their fur, so I had her groomed twice a month. When it was really cold outside, I would dress her in warm clothes and boots. After Zoe, I became a dog mom to a pit/German shepherd puppy, Garner. I got him when he was 8 weeks old and had him for 13.5 years. I understand what care a puppy needs as well as a senior dog. I also had Garner in Chicago so I had to walk him as well and I’m very familiar with handling large breeds on a leash. I understand how a pet is part of the family and will show your dog lots of love and affection just like I would my own.
