Pet care experience
I have had dogs almost my entire life. Lots when I was growing up. Currently I have 3, 2 that are around 8 years old and a 1 year old. I have fostered for a local rescue that works with senior dogs to make sure they don’t stay in shelters. Our family made the decision after our last senior foster that turned out be hospice to end our fostering journey for a time so hearts can heal. I enjoy spending time with all types of dogs. I tend to be the person people know they can call if they need to leave and keep their dogs safe. I have watched dogs for family and friends on many occasions. We are a family home with 2 kids still in the house, an 18 year old, 11 year old (all girls).We all have a great love for animals, dogs specifically.

Christy loves dogs. She has two of her own and fosters elder dogs. She takes very good care of them. They get daily walks. They get lots of love from her and her family.
Christy’s love for dogs and want to help them stay happy is beyond what I’ve seen from anyone else. She has been fostering dogs to make sure they are happy until they find their forever home.
Christy is a dedicated foster mom to one of our dogs in our senior dog rescue. Not only does she have the necessary experience with caring for dogs, but she is also compassionate and detailed-oriented, all required attributes to be a caregiver to canines. Highly recommend and would trust her with my own dogs without any hesitation.

I don’t have breed preferences, but do prefer dogs that are able to walk on leash and are well socialized. I am well versed in reactive or scared dogs though. I am able to work with reactive dogs in a force free manner if trust is able to be established and treats are allowed.
A typical day
I can walk dogs in the neighborhood, parks or even take them to run in the dog park if they are well socialized and you would like that.

I work part time at an independent pet food store in downtown Boise. I enjoy all of our furry friends that visit (and their people too) but would love to spend a bit more time with other lovely dogs!
