Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals since I was a young teen, including dogs, cats, birds, snakes/lizards, etc. I am married with a 15 year old son and a 10 year old daughter. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a gecko. :) I have learned in my experience with having our furry family members that when we go out of town for a while, I want an experienced, compassionate person to take care of them while also keeping me informed about how they are all doing, along with pictures when possible. I will make sure to send updates and pics, if that is something that you would enjoy! I want you to be able to relax and enjoy your time away without worry. Thank you for your consideration!

I have known Christy for years and her kind, tender heart for all animals is genuine and inspiring. We share a love for “weiner dogs” and their unique character traits. My Pete is 16 years old and Christy loves on him as if he were her own. In fact, a couple of years ago, I had the front windows of my house replaced. I had Pete secured but the window installer inadvertently let Pete out. I was frantic! On her own time and gas, Christy came and drove the neighborhoods helping me look for my Pete. Only a true pet lover would go over and above like that! ❤️

We live in a home with woods behind us. We do not have a fenced in back yard, but I walk my 2 dogs on their harnesses and leashes. My 2 cats are indoor only, with access to our closed in back porch. They are indoor only due to having owls, hawks, and other predators in the woods. Our dogs are on a monthly heartworm prevention. I can administer medicine, but nothing injectable, as I do not have experience with that. In your home, I will make sure to follow your guidelines.

A typical day
When I watch dogs/cats, I feed them and make sure they have fresh water available. I play with them for a while and sit in the floor with them and give scratches and tummy rubs. I clean litter boxes and give treats, if ok with client. I can walk them, too, if requested.

I am currently a stay at home mom, so I have a free schedule. I am a "chauffer" for my kids, but I am free to work with any schedule.
