As a child, my home always had lots of animals, from cockatiels to chinchillas to dogs. As an adult, I've stuck to dogs as my companions. Like my professional life working with disadvantaged people, I've been a champion of the neediest dogs. I have fostered dogs in NY and Cairo, and cared for friends' dogs when times were tough. I have written about animal abuse in Egypt (where my Prince is from), was involved with rescue organizations there and NY, and used to take my middle- and high-school students to the ACC shelter in NY to learn about pet overpopulation and adoption. I have the love and patience to work with challenging dogs. Easygoing dogs are great, too. I live with three dogs, and am excited about working with more.
